Ah yes finally
@dereka646 жыл бұрын
@@JJ-hg9bb True, many "centrists" are that way. But I don't really consider those people centrists. They're simply indecisive. Flipping between liberal and conservative doesn't make you centrist. I have BOTH liberal and conservative ideals at the same time, not one or the other. For instance, on the topic of immigration, I strongly believe a country must protect their borders against unlawful entry, and should go to great measures to do so. That is typically a conservative ideal. But at the same time, I don't think those who are already here, who have started successful lives, with families and connections and jobs, should be deported. That's typically a liberal ideal. But more than having ideals on both sides of the aisle is being able to understand ideals on both sides of the idea, even if you disagree with them. It seems that hardcore liberals and conservative have put so much distance between themselves that they can no longer fathom where the other is coming from. And that's what's leading to all the hatred between the two groups.
@JJ-hg9bb6 жыл бұрын
@@dereka64 I don't consider anyone besides people who are indecisive centrists, centrist is really just a dissociative term for people who don't want to be affiliated with a party, either because they think their "above" everyone else, or because they can only see the radical sides of each party and think they're both lunatics (which is true), but that becomes unfair because that is only a vocal minority of the parties. Most likely, you either fall left or right, no matter how little right or left it is, and you shouldn't try to disassociate with either group because a vocal minority. The problem now isn't the hatred from either side, cause there is many people on each side that do try to understand one another, but it's the media giving all the attention to the worst parts of each side. They have created the divide between the two groups even bigger to a point where people who aren't too involved in politics or people just getting into politics see these stories and articles that you either totally agree with or totally disagree with. It creates a stigma that one side is all of one thing and the two parties are complete opposites, while there is a middle ground for discussion that people don't see.

CGP Gray has some interesting videos on different voting systems, if you're interested in how a wider diversity of political thought can be made viable within electoral politics. It's only a surface level look at one problem, but it's inspiring to see solutions. Makes you wonder how much different the world could be!

I hate how everyone blames the average people for any problem, but rarely does anyone go after the politicians, the corporations and the media, which are the ones actually creating all the problems.

Well if you think about it it kinda makes sense we the people are responsible for all this stuff, we voted in those politics, we give corporations our money and we give the media our attention, as long as we are consuming then we'll be the ones accountable for all those things, that's what separates us from commies

I could never hate someone based on their political party. If you’re a conservative, that’s fine! That doesn’t mean I won’t listen to you! And if you are a liberal, that’s fine too! Everyone deserves the right to share how they feel or what they think, ya know unless it’s something morally obscene.
@dermatillomaniac1 Жыл бұрын
When one side takes away a woman's right to choose, gerrymanders to suppress minority votes, attempted to actively override democracy, is openly hateful towards the lgbt community, and favors billionaires over the common man I don't think it's necessary to be charitable towards conservatives. They objectively suck. Corporate democrats are somewhat less bad and progressives are much better.

Swemptonian Tribe Assuming the left is young and pro-rights and the right is old and stressed racists isn’t making fun of both sides. It’s making assumptions about one side, which are stereotypes and, in the real world, not true.

Tellur1an it literally shows a stereotypical left wing extremist SJW holding a tranny flag. That’s like the conservative’s wet dream for insults at liberals. So the thumbnail is making fun of both sides. Not all liberals are like the one in the thumbnail. Just like not all trump supporters are old racist white people. The thumbnail is satire comedy.
