The song your looking for is "Bad Water". It's the only song I know of that is just her clean voice. And it has a MV. So it should be easy to find.

Tatiana struggles with chronic depression and has talked about compulsively ruminating on distressing thoughts, so good interpretation. As to ballads, Bad Water and the short outro track Beggars Dance are go-to recommendations for Jinjer songs with all cleans. Tati also did featured vocals on the Suicide Silence cover of AIC's Man In The Box with all cleans. A couple of videos from before they had to leave their homes, when Tati had a side project band that did jazz and latin music: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJqaZYiVlqtpm9E is kinda jazzy an this one that I've watched so much YT just suggests it when it doesn't know what else to give me haha - 22 minutes of Tati singing latin-infused Nirvana kzbin.info/www/bejne/hInMYZqem5iYqbc. To focus on Tati doing Jinjer stuff, Judgement & Punishment one take is epic. There are a bunch of playthrough videos where the guys show off their skills without Tati's vocals and charisma overshadowing them too. Cheers!

Did you catch the pre-drop livestream on Facebook? i knew this album was to be different (music written by Vlad and Roman), but I was surprised when Tatiana said of the lyrics, "This album is a "road map" for understanding Tati.".

The vortex responded to the music, so it could be that the music, or going with your interpretation as depression (which fits too) takes on a life of its own; it sucks you in and that gives it life. Great reaction!

Great reaction. I think you are right about the meaning of the song. Tatiana does describe herself as a quiet person with a loud mind. You may like their song"Retrospection" The opening is in Russian and gives a great glimpse into their back story and current life. Here is the opening to temp you. If the translation is incorrect please feel free to fix. Кто тебя выхаживал, That one was nursing you, Грусть любовью скрашивал, That one brightening up your sadness with love,

Jinjer is not bound to any particular song structure. Perhaps look at "Who is going to be the one?" (Live), "Pit of Consciousness" (live in Kiev), and the one take version of "Judgement and Punishment". "Retrospection" and "Home Back" (official videos) should be seen as a pair.

Yes, this band has so much talent that it's gonna be interesting when they are going for a different direction for a while. Jazz, maybe more funky, mainstream, ballads of all kinds, Oekranian roots whateverthatis, fusion obviously, etcetera. I think they can pull anything of if they wanted to. It would make this band even more surprising and great. But hey, they are doing fine already, so what am I talking about. Keep on reacting!

SWIRL. instantly was able to apply this to my life. The calm that life was before Clovid to how everything has morphed into this stress ball of life. I see the black hole as me (Tatiana) taking in all the stress and when the black hole pulses with her voice it's me/her trying to release the toxins and the outcome is that monster/creature representing all that stress/crap. SWIRL

Anastasia, thank you for your great reaction. You really need to react to a few tracks by them: 'Perennial' live at Wacken 2019; 'Judgement and Punishment' Tatiana's one-take vocal version, and 'Home Back' the official video, which she does some Jazzy singing in. Thanks again for this great reaction.

Her throat tattoo is dope. It's a quetzallcoatyl, a mythical creature from the Aztecs. This song is so proggy and heavy that if it is any indication of what the album is going to be like, we're in for a fucking treat. The band is on another level musically. Very mature sound.

Jinjer is known for progressive song structures, and Vortex is the most nontraditional of them all. There is no verse, no pre-chorus, no chorus. No part is repeated again. Some parts happen more than one time at once, but once the song moves to the next part, there is no reprise of any section. It's all about spinning and circularity. The middle of the song is the insane swirling part that starts when she screams "SOUL." That's like the singularity at the core of the black hole. The whole song spins around that part, like the event horizon. At the end the gravity and chaos of "the man's" thoughts suck him right into the vortex. Note that the time signature becomes somewhat undefined or chaotic as the vortex pulses for her "whirl, spin, swirl" screams. I see the "robot" as a trash monster, the conglomeration of all the shit that has been sucked in by the accretion disk. Great reaction!

The way I see it, the vortex is an internal struggle in your brain. And in the video you see everything sucked into it, which I see as a representation of our society and all the information you get exposed to from every angle in daily life. The monster inside the vortex just grows bigger and all the information, bullshit and other information, sticks to it and it just gets uglier and uglier the more you feed it. Just my 2 cents, but something like that. Love the reaction, subbed.

Anna, I'm halfway in with you on this video. I like them. I noticed right out the gate that they were using augmented chords with your normal 5s with a metal band with palm muting. (5s for those of you in Rio Linda, 5s are power chords) There is no way in hell she's doing the death parts. There is no voice synthesizer that is that clean that, its a guy doing the death parts. Now Floor could with the help of Marco. The chemistry between the two was so awesome. If they did a death portioning the song they had this ability to ride over under over under and made her sound deeper than she really was. You haven't gotten to mine yet and that's okay with the release of....😎👍

I don't think this song has a chorus, there really aren't any repeating parts... Maybe the second part has that melodic tension release, as does the "like a feather" part and the part when it goes outside the window (though that part feels more like a bridge to me)... But it never repeats so I can't see it as a chorus
