I found one more possibility. Sometimes CM installs mods incorrectly. Ford Mondeo 2017 did not want to run the game. Only when I unpacked it manually did the car start working in the game.

Are you using Content Manager to launch and run AC? You might be able to fix that by Google searching the error name and trying any solutions in the top 20 threads, or simply quit using either the car, track, or supporting mod (e.g. ReShade) where this issue occurs. I had race cancelled error only on servers that had gravygarage car pack. I searched 3 months to find a fix and it was too low virtual memory size on the disk that had assetto corsa installed. Thankfully i found that fix before i reinstalled my whole windows :D

Love the tips. To add some troubleshooting advice: If you have a problem ie. Game crashing or cannot load into game etc I suggest the following 1. Try kunos car on kunos track offline 2. Try turning off CSP then try above 3. Try disabling all added apps then try above This could help to find the issue and eliminate some variables. If 1. Works then check mods, maybe re install mods If 2. Works then reinstall CSP or different version If 3. Works then delete and reinstall apps

Cool but can you help me with this? I used to launch ac with content manager as usual then i upgraded my ssd, i cloned it and everything is in place as it used to be but content manager wont open an it's showing me this big error saying "System.IO.IOException: The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable" followed by like 30 lines of code. It's not my directory, as i tried installing it on all my hdd's and my ssd. I reinstalled assetto corsa, the game launches by it's normal launcher and works fine but content manager won't budge. Any ideas why this would happen?

Just fixed problem and thought this might help someone else. I suddenly lost all the information for CMRT Essential HUD (lap time, gears, track maps, leaderboards, sectors/deltas etc) the only thing still showing was rev lights. Reinstalled the HUD multiple no help, even reinstalled a clean copy of AC. Turns out I must have reverted to an earlier version of CSP and CMRT required a later one. I hadn't watched this video all the way to the CSP section... I wish I had earlier. 😖 Something to check first next time.🙂

Does it do that with your current car when you pick a default map (such as “Drift”) Does it do that with your current map when you pick a default car (such as “AE86 Tuned”) Does it do that with both a default map *and* a default car (such as “AE86 Tuned” at the “Drift” map) Stop using any mod car or map where that error presents itself. Hey Kame, when I tried downloading a car mod, the the game crashes and gives me this error message “Some Texture’s format or size might be wrong.” It could be that I don’t have CSP on, since im using my old graphics which cant handle CSP

Plenty of mod cars and tracks required CSP to function, you might check the mod documentation or ask the creator to see if CSP is required. Otherwise if the texture is wrong it sounds like the download is missed up or the modder made an error. I would plan to quit trying to run that car 🤷🏻‍♂️

Does the axis chart indicate that it’s going from 0% to 100% and staying there when pegged? If not you might reduce the slider so 100% hits at 90% or wherever needed to get it to stay full. That sounds like a hardware calibration issue, but what I shared is a software-side bandaid you might try

I think that means the literal driver of the car’s model. Normally that should be included with the mod car if it’s not the usual guy. I’d ask the mod creator for support, or the guys in my discord. Hello, can someone tell me why when I download a mod with a car and I download it in the content manager and I finish the download and in the game I select the car that I downloaded and I select the map and in the race and it puts me on hold and it appears at the bottom that the map loads and after it appears that it loads the model of car that I installed and then it puts me back in the menu?

I'm having an issue where a practice session simply ends after only one or two laps. There is no error. It just ends and shows laps completed. When it begins acting this way, it seems to do it every time I restart a session. If I go away (after restraining myself from my desire to throw things) and come back later, sometimes- things work as expected. The very first time I launched it, I actually got an award for something like 50 km in one session. So I expected to be able to practice indefinitely. I see the session time which seems to default to 12 minutes, but it doesn't even last that long. I have completely uninstalled AC, reinstalled, reinstalled content manager in a different location. Using a Quest 2, Thrustmaster TS-XW with a modified, no button wheel and "cheap" H shifter & handbrake. I am going to go back after I cool down and make darn sure 12 minutes isn't flying by faster than in my mind, but I am fairly certain this is some sort of abnormal behavior. Any ideas?

Assuming you are using Content Manager, you can set the practice time to be quite long, I think at least 1.5 hours per session. I wonder if you have something set that is actually cutting you off after a few laps instead cause the only place where 2 laps takes 13 minutes is nordschliefe 🤔

@@KameTrick thank you for the response. I scoured the settings and I only saw one setting that might have been problematic but I have not had a chance to validate it. The setting for “Auto save replays” was checked and quality was set to “High”… below that it said that the maximum replay was 1 min 54 sec. (I’m guessing There is a setting somewhere that allows me to allocate the max space for replays?) It doesn’t make sense that it would kick me out of the session just because the replay limit was reached… but maybe so. I have turned the “Auto Save Replays” off and reduced the quality… I’ll see if that fixes it later this evening. If someone can confirm the behavior that would be great! Otherwise I will just cross my fingers.

Has anyone had issues with their clutch not working when using Content Manager as a launcher for Assetto Corsa instead of the vanilla launcher? For some reason everything works as it should when AC is launched through Steam but as soon as I use Content Manager I lose clutch functionality. My wheel, throttle and brake are unaffected so I can technically drive, I just can't use the clutch at all :(

Thanks! That error means what it says, the 3D model for the guy driving the car is missing. Maybe the modder(s) behind that pack call for a driver mode that is used in some other common mods, but that they didn’t provide data files for. If you learn how to read the mod data you might be able to determine which driver model their pack is expecting to see, and then search the internet in an attempt to find that model 🤷🏻‍♂️

Does your PC detect it as a usb device, does it power on and spin during startup? Assuming all that’s good, you can try a few things: 1) driver update/reinstall 2) try to bind the wheel in the default steam launcher, close it, open CM and bind it in CM

This is a guess, but it Sounds like the mod you are trying to load is broken (something is incorrect in the mod setup for the left front wheel) I suggest driving a different mod car that doesn’t have that problem

My pedals and wheel dont work in game, i test them in the menu and they do work but when i load into a game, nothing happens.

Sometimes CM is bad about losing key bindings, but once you get it set it tends to keep working. First, always make sure you fully power on your wheel and pedals before opening CM. If you open CM before the wheel startup sequence finishes you’ll usually have a lot more issues. Second, try closing CM, opening CM, rebinding your keys and starting a race. Give this 2 or 3 tries. Sometimes it will work with just this. If all else fails, close CM, open AC using the default Steam launcher, bind all your keys in it. Close it. Open CM, bind all our keys in it, launch a driving session. Usually this fixes it, or some combination of the above and as much patience as needed, good luck!

I'm not using any CSP or SOL or whatever... using AC offline, I have 97 tracks and many mods working fine but I cannot load 3 car mods. No issues found in Content Manager, they show up ingame but it crashes back to menu. Any tips on how to fix or solve that? One of the car is ASR ferrari 82.

The mod documentation (if the creator provided any) may note that a certain level of CSP is required to use that mod, that’s something I’d check for. SOL is never required to drive cars, run maps, or even play online (worst case it will just be daytime for you while it’s night time for everyone else) But CSP has a lot of visual and physics extensions and because it extends the capabilities of the game so much, has become increasingly popular with mod creators: there are absolutely mod cars and tracks that simply will not load or enable you to play without running CM and the mods minimum required version of CSP. It usually comes down to running CSP, or abandoning any cars or tracks that don’t work without it…best of luck 🙏🏻

I am new to all of this and followed all of your videos today to get AC fully set up. When i pick a car and a track (no matter which one it is) I click "Go!" and i get a message that says "Waiting for Race to end" then it says "Race Cancelled". Please help!

David Newkirk hmm...there are a ew possibilities, but I can probably help you out. Does this only happen for online servers? Or both online and single player modes? Things to try include: 1) for single player, set mod to practice instead of race 2) for drift content if there’s an AE86 mod involved (and sometimes other JDM cars) purchase the official Japanese Pack DLC 3) exit and restart Content Manager...which sounds silly but if you make a change like adding the Japanese Pack DLC it doesn’t always recognize the latest changes until you do this There are of course many other possibilities, but these couple ones will give us something to start with. If none of these work let me know: 1) Car or car pack (including maker e.g. DWG S14) you’re trying 2) Track you’re trying Does the car work on single player default “Drift” track? Does the track with when running a single player default car (such as the Kunos AE86 Tuned)

Hey guys, I modified a car using Blender, I exported it, I used Ks editor, I made Persistent, but when I went to use it in the game, all the lights, brake light are not working, nothing. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Mostly just read the mods descriptions for any hints, then google the problem or any error codes you can find and systematically try every potential solution listed until you fix it or decide it’s not worth it...that’s what the free, unlicensed, unofficial mod world takes 😅

Many mod tracks don’t even have AI data, and are only usable solo offline or multiplayer online...since they’re mods the creators do (or don’t do) whatever they want when building them 🤷🏻‍♂️

That means your hard drive is full...you either delete other things to make space, or buy more hard drives

@@kadeonr6 the guys I know who collect mods probably use between 500GB and 1TB. But if you only keep the mods that you like instead of collecting stuff you never actually drive you’ll be way closer to the 250-500GB range. HDDs are relatively cheap, so probably just grab a 2TB and call it a day 🤔

It doesn’t work on some maps, depending on how the modder built the sky 🤷🏻‍♂️ But it works on probably 19 out of 20 maps I’ve personally tried it on. Only problem is some maps don’t have any lights so they’re fairly undrivable with only the cars headlights

I'm getting race canceled error with default tracks and cars. So I guess I'm just fucked. Time to reinstall everything. This makes no sense either, it worked fine yesterday and all I'd done is restart my computer.

Generally if default content doesn’t work my flowchart is to verify game files as shown in the vid, and then reinstall AC. You can copy your mod cars and tracks (the ones whose folders don’t start with ks) to a different location and move them back after a clean install at least

Do you have the Shuto revival project track installed? Do you get this error when starting a solo offline driving session in practice mode with no AI? Do you get this error when trying to join an online multiplayer server running SRP?

Ummm can you go into steam and do the “verify game files” thing to have it resintall all the vanilla content. It shouldn’t impact any of your mods: help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/0C48-FCBD-DA71-93EB Hope this helps 🫶🏻

I dont know why it seems like I'm the only person in the damn internet that has this problem. Content manager just crashes every time I try to open it after downloading, I've turned off all my antivirus software, nothing changes. What is driving me even more crazy is that somehow I got it to work for like a week, no idea what I did differently. I downloaded every mod I could, got the graphics looking amazing. Then woke up a few days ago and same issue... try to open content manager and it immediately crashes. I swear I cant find a single reddit post or thread where somebody else has this problem. Its driving me crazy.

John Sullivan knowing it used to work is a key detail. The only thing external to you that’s happened is the developers of AC recently released some game updates (after years of inactivity) so perhaps the update went through and has introduced some sort of compatibility issue (though I’ve not experienced one) Can you load CM at all-like the settings menus and stuff, or is it crashing the second you click the CM Icon?

I can join normal no hesi servers with none of the modded cars only. When I join a no hesi server with the cars mod it cancels. PLEASE HELP

Have you found and installed the mod cars? I don’t know a lot about the no hesi operation but I wouldn’t be surprised if something about joining their servers is paywalled.
