I think the no webcam thing is a save, since I've been having privacy issues lately after just 2 days ago when I was using my old laptop and the webcam just started glowing. If the webcam glows, it means its recording. And I wasn't recording at that time too so I was creeped out. So from then on I had a sticker put on my webcam. Definitely can't wait to get my hands on a no webcam laptop when it gets here.

I'm an owner too. The AURA sync software is exceptionally buggy, especially after around 5-6 months later. I keep them off too.... Also another design error I found was that the charging port is too close to the exhaust vent. It gets hot while playing games.... They could've just placed it middle....

I brought this laptop recently and honestly I love it .. those RGB ka really really awesome I did found asus armoury crate bit buggy but after update it was pretty smooth.. I use it for content creation and it performs pretty good. You'll never get bored working with this laptop as it's RGB lighting is soooo coooll.

The 2021 edition is actually very good for value to power, AND it looks great! I just preordered the Strix with RTX 3070 and AMD Ryzen 7 4800H and it cost 1800 euros. That's the same I paid for an MSI GE66 Raider with RTX 2070 and i7-10875U (which I sent back once the Strix got announced lol). They changed some great stuff, like a 90Wh battery, 300Hz screen (if you want it), upgraded keyboard, Wifi-6, USB-C charging, and liquid metal on all models. Really hyped to try it out!

@@roythong390 the only hearing broblem was Caused by Windows updates messing with things. The GPU (RTX 2070) is pretty cool under max load. The CPU is a 10750h which does run quite hot, but with the right configuration you can sort it out. Usually runs between 80 and 85 under heavy use. Goes up to 90-95 when doing a CPU stress test which is to be expected

@@shinigami6602 it depends on your budget bro. But I'll suggest don't buy very heavy gaming laptops. I think I understand your use case. Just go with any thin and light laptop with decent battery life. You can check Dell, Lenovo, asus. But gaming laptops are very heavy with bad battery life. Trust me you won't face any issues while coding even with average specs. Only things to consider: minimum 16 GB ram, and minimum 4gb graphics. These with any decent CPU will handle your work pretty well.

Excellent review Dave. I have the ASUS ROG G531GT with this same lighting configuration as in this video and I love it. I have my aura effects (RGB) set to smart; strobes matrix green when cool, yellow when getting warm, and red when it's getting hot. All are easily set with a slider, so me 0 to 70C (green) 70C to 90C (yellow) and 90C and above (red). all sorts of other rgb configs available and you can create your own with AURA Creator. ASUS Rocks.... And yes I was lured to this video because of da pretty lights :) heheh

I like the look of this gaming laptop. It’s a little different from others of almost the same price point as the Acer Nitro 5 which i own myself. The only thing i can say about the Nitro 5 is you must upgrade the RAM from 8gb to 16 as it’s a must have. For me i get stutters so i might upgrade:)

I am planning to buy Acer Nitro 5 Ryzen 5 but it is out of stock or phased out in my country. Acer Nitro Ryzen 7 on the other hand is too pricey for me. Then I came acceoss ROG G15 Which is cheaper but faster. Should I take this one? Kinda hated Asus back when my employer lend me a laptop.
