have you looked into trying to do some 'ghetto' 3d scanning & then using a 3d printer for making the initial piece? its an all digital workspace, but the protoyping phase its much easier to go beyond v1. Also, if you need to mirror it to the other side of the car you can do that digitally/easily of course. While not the best advantage imo, you also can make your negative mold using the 3d printed piece. If you can find a 3d scan of your car that's done the real way, imo this would be the easiest way to do a full custom panel job.

Most legitimate racing carbon molds use metal for molds, not wood or fiberglass molds. They also use CFD for aero design and multiple layers of prepreg carbon fiber (in some cases composite of different materials) with an autoclave curing. This is just for show, not race.

A tip: Look at how Mike Patey made the cowling for his plane, he has a youtube channel where he posts vieos on aviation, he made multiple custom planes himself. I think you could learn a lot from him when it comes for working with carbon fiber and that would excite you do do more with it.

To be honest, not structural, non autoclaved carbon fiber work is piss easy. Same skills as glass fiber, which itself is easy to learn. I think I made my first glass parts when I was 10, my dad showed me how in an hour. The hard part is the mold making and the design work.

Real carbon parts use metal molds. Especially if you want to make more than 2 or 3 of the fenders with repeated measurements. In racing fenders are made multiple times due to various accidents. And if its made cheaply like these, they may be replaced even more so. F1, Indy, etc use metal molds, prepreg carbon composites and autoclave curing with multiple layers and structures that don't allow for bending in the air. The cf fenders on this car, are for show. That is it.
