That's not correct. All Indoeuropean languages stem from the same root language. So Persian, Icelandic and Russian is equally old.

@@Felixxxxxxxxx no they branch off at different times so some can be older but Persian comes from the indo-european to indo-aryan split which means that there were older languages from the european branch which split further at the time Persian was made. Plus there are likely lots languages older than indo-european ones just one example is the language spoken in Egypt but others may also have just died or have not been discovered.

One only has to look up the list of Persian scientists, theologians, philosophers, poets, mathematicians, astronomers, and scholars throughout history and their achievements to realize how much Persians have gave the world! Thank you Bahador for what you do, your videos truly achieve something that no politician ever does. I truly wish for a future with great relations with Iran. With respect to current Arab people, if Arabs didn't attack Iran 1400 years ago the number of scientists must have been much more. The largest Iranian University was located in nowadays Basra in Iraq with many scholars and scientists who all killed by Arabs.

me and my sister were in lasvegas paris hotel (french speaking)for a conference,we somehow ended up there with no luggage and no place to stay. hotel was over booked and there were like 800 people in a long line behind us .my sister was very upset she told me that im going back i don't want to stay here a second longer, in Farsi .suddenly one of the hotel managers which was talking in french! not far from us came over and said "ghoseh nadarad ta key mimanid"and gave a key card to my sister! later we found out that she is from Afghanistan . you might not understand how good we felt that day hearing someone speaks Farsi but I'll never forget that .I just wanted to say to all of my brave and kind brother and sisters from Afghanistan you are awesome!! ❤️

I am an Israeli who loves and adores Persian culture and history. I want to thank you so much for this video. One side of my family lived in Iran for over 2000 years and my grandmother spoke fluent Persian. I have always felt very close and connected to that side of my family and have been trying to learn more about it and the language. Your channel has helped me so much. Of course, I have always believed that Samarkand belongs to Tajikistan, the Uzbeks say that Samarkand belongs to the Uzbeks, but I do not think so. Samarkand has always been a land of Tajik. Zinda bad barodarjon.🙏🏽🇹🇯🇮🇷🇦🇫❤️

@@montinyek6554 Maybe you don't speak it good enough then. Some Tajiks are very Russianized due to the Soviet Union but if you hear closely you can understand them. I am Persian from Afghanistan and I understand all accents. And Yes they are all the SAME LANGUAGE PARSI goddammit, just different accents.

Salom, Uzbek girl here! I also enjoyed this video and understood every Persian word thanks to the gigantic Persian influence in Uzbek culture and philology. My grandma is ethnically Tajik and my grandad was born in the ancient city of Samarqand. It would be interesting to see a Turkic language edition where you compare similarities in Turkic languages such as Uzbek, Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Turkmen :D All the best!

Thank you. Don't forget a big part of Uzbekistan. In the cities of Samarkand and Bukhara you can easily communicate in Persian as most of the residents of those cities are native Persian speakers.

In Tatar language we also have the words "shifahanä", "äflisun", "zäñgär", but the last one has a different meaning, it means "blue", not "green". Also, being Tatar and Turkish speaker, I guessed the meaning of most words. Persian indeed had really big influence on Turkic languages.

That! And the fact that some of these words that you mentioned you share with that Pamirian girl are actually not in Standard Persian. But they are in Pamirian which is an Iranian language of it’s own, but I can’t help but to think that Tatars share those with Pamirians probably due to the fact that Pamirians were the Iranians who lived in eurasian step before the Turkic arrival and most likely ancestor of many Tatars.

In Tajikistan original people say, “Siposguzoram and also Tašakur”, but the girl who say Qulugh, it is not Tajik word, it is Uzbek word “Qulugh” which means thank you.

that's so far away from my culture, and yet so fascinating! I'm from Brazil. I have NO IDEA of how life is in Tajikistan, and we have only heard bad news about Afghanistan (thanks to USA...) those videos are good for the entire world. it's great to see old brothers having fun together
