The term keto has become somewhat synonymous with weight loss. In fact, when you look at Google Trends to see how often the two terms are searched, they are almost identical. Low-carb and keto diets are popular because they work. But, there is a catch. To be successful, you must break free from the addictive nature of refined carbohydrates. This video shares why we binge on carby cookies and candies, not low-carb broccoli, eggs, and fish.

Yes indeed Dennis, even the sight of carbs is triggering !!.Just the thought of my favorite brand of potato chips is overwhelming. Here in India there is a brand of chips called Budhani. They put Lay's to shame.I avoid them like the plague.

I’ve been cheating heavily for the past few months and this video has given me the motivation to get back on the low carb lifestyle to knock out that powerful hold sugar has over me. Knowing a strict 30-day session will “reset” my body is exactly what I need to refocus my goals

Thank you, other than addiction ,the problem is carbohydrates and processed food are easy to get , no preparation or cooking, no time spent in kitchen cooking and washing dishes!!! It is hard to come home after work to start cooking and washing dishes ! It is easier to pickup food on your way home!!! Unless you want to spent all your weekends preparation, cooking and washing!

i got denoised with type two so i cut out chip rice pasta and a lot sugar and went to veg and meat for a meal now i don't crave carbs at all tbh I'm quiet shocked by it, i went into Morrison the other day and seen a display with donuts , i use to love donuts i looked at them and thought na and went bought salad, i wasn't temped at all and iv being doing this for about a month, i do still eat bread but iv cut down alot and its made a big difference to how i see food tbh you don't have to starf just fill up with veg and salads it really does work

Spot on from my experiences of lowering the carbs ,cutting the sugar and fasting. Having a diet coke 12 hrs or more into a fast does confuse the body for a few minutes.. lol TY, for nice short informative clips...

I work at a coffee stand, where I have noticed that customers who add artificial sweeteners, in particular Splenda, often ask for multiple packets to be mixed in their drinks. Crazy high amounts sometimes, like 10 Splenda in a medium Americano.

Thank you for this but the problem for some of us is really nor a sweet tooth but more a starchy tooth😔 I miss rice, pasta and all those carbs...less so the cakes etc. Its just so much ore difficult to overcome cravings for starchy foods when u've grown eating a heavily starchy diet..

Tons of low carb options for starchy foods. I love the soy pasta at Aldi's. Their low carb bread is great too, wonderful texture. But you can get low carb bread anywhere. Not sure about rice alternatives. Shirataki noodles are wonderful too. All this stuff is more expensive but worth it imo PS I'm Italian so I understand 🤣 but you can do it Oh also almond flour...you can make great lil English-muffin style breads in the microwave in like 2 min, then toast them for extra realism. Just search Almond flour mug bread. Almond products are horrible for the planet tho

I tested nearly any famous diet between 1980 - 2000 and loved the Scarsdale, easy and successful, learned something every time but finaly went back to my grandma's way of eating (considering a few discoveries unknown at her time and what i've learned whilst living in Asia) - and in some cases i just need to ask myself: would granny eat that? 99% no ... and by the way - it's not our food first of all to make us ill ... it's only place no. 4 However - love to listen to you. For me the wonderful energy you send out is more important than what words transport ... Thanks a million

I looked at the CPIR study referenced, I can't seem to find if the study mentions they used sucralose in isolation from dextrose/maltodextrin which is how Splenda is formulated. I'm sure they probably did, but just thought I'd highlight that little tidbit. Thank you for great knowledge and content.

I have been on a very restricted carb intake for 4 months and lost 25lb very quickly but I'm stuck and as an older guy I need to get rid of the extra fat around my waist. I'm just not sure how sustainable the keto diet is for me. I have no desire for a lot of simple carbs like sweets, white bread, rice, potatioes etc but not having at least a bowl of high fiber cereal in the morning or some whole grain bread for a sandwich or even fruits like apples etc is getting to be tiresome.

I recommend the book lies my doctor told me and books by Dr. Jason Fung. I have always had ups and downs in weight loss and tried the ketogenic lifestyle on 2018 (clean keto) and it worked really well for me. I lost about 45-50 lbs and maintained my weight for 2 years. My triglycerides got to a normal level and my inflammation went to normal levels I had more energy which means I exercised more and my hunger was controlled, my cholesterol was slightly elevated. I regained all my weight after I became depressed last year and began eating processed foods again and carb loaded foods. My cholesterol is up higher than when I was on keto and my levels of inflammation as well are very high. Carbs especially highly processed foods are addictive and it's really hard to control but when you detox and go full keto all those cravings stop. I went to my Internal medicine physician yesterday and he said, what happened? I stopped keto and went back to my bad eating habits, that's what happened. Now my energy levels suck and my body always hurts. I am definitely going back to clean keto because my health depends on it.
