@AJFooty3 жыл бұрын
First of for young people getting into clubs and academies are the best way to improve, outside of your clubs train as well and try to always train with people better than you, because you automatically adapt and get better. For the second part, getting connections with coaches and players who’ve gotten pro gives you a good chance to contact teams. Everything is about risks, you might have to go abroad for a tryout or anything like that but you make risks to potentially get an opportunity

Hi Matt, quick question- I play football at centre back for my team. I am 16 and currently at the height of 5'9 ,Do you think I will grow anymore from here? and do you think height is an important factor in becoming a pro footballer. I was wondering what are your thoughts on this. I know that vandjik is 6'4 and is one of the best centre backs in the world and Cannavaro was around 5'9 and also a brilliant CB. Thankyou.
@zoar59683 жыл бұрын
Yes it will make you better for a cb you ideally want to be 6 foot and up you could play cdm there is also stretches you can do to get taller and you also could have not finished puberty yet
@Aitch20202 жыл бұрын
I hope you have grown in height a few inches since posting this. Focus on your vertical leap due to your height deficiency. Watch Knees over toes guy on youtube and also copy what basket ball players do to improve their jumping. Also watch players like Roberto Ayala, Fabio canavaro and Ajax's jurrien timber as they are all on the shorter side but due to their adapted style of play they totally dominate their defensive duties. Ronaldo and calvert-lewin are greater jumpers/leapers too. Just watch and analyze them and try to replicate through tons of practise.

@CalvinFox313 жыл бұрын
Protein shakes you have to be careful with because one you want to make sure they do not have any banded substances in them, that the league you play in might not allow. Another thing is that getting proteins from real food is the best way to do because it is a lot healthier and has a lot less additives in it. My best advice would be use the protein shake as a smaller tool but not the main source of your proteins. I hope this helps let me know if this would be a good video topic for my channel

Why do pros gym directly after training tho?? I prefer to refuel then gym... My main concern is there any scientific advantages to either?
@CalvinFox313 жыл бұрын
This is a good question, from my experience they do football training first because you have 100% of your energy for that and you end up doing the gym second because you are just strengthen the muscles you use on the pitch if it was the other way around you have a higher risk for injury. At least this has been the case for me in some pro settings. I do know other teams do it different so it could just be a option thing. If you refuel before your gym session you are not getting the best protien intake for your body because after you refuel before the gym your body is going to try to digest all the food or protien you had before hand. Hope this helps a little thinking about doing a video like this on my channel.
