The Gurkhas have a special relationship with Hong Kong. During the colonial era, the only reservist unit in Hong Kong, the Royal Hong Kong Regiment, was part of the order of battle of the 48th (Gurkha) Infantry Brigade, hence they wore the crossed kukri arm badge. The Regiment and the Brigade were unfortunately disbanded because of the handover, but we Hongkongers shall always remember the contribution of the Gurkhas to the defence of Hong Kong, and I am very glad to see how new Gurkhas are still so faithful to Britain and so proud of their identity.

The uk army has high standard thats the thing. If you have mental illness like depression, you will not be allowed in. If you have issues like acne’s across your body, you will not be allowed in. These stupid rules are the reason why recruiters are low as hell.

@Josh J our women soldiers are safe right now due to peace time, but if there is another full on war with our future enemies. They will show them no mercy at all, and I mean if our women fell into enemies hands, true horror will bestow upon them. The thing with men, our enemies can just kill us and that's about it. I find it quite disturbing how our government and feminist group thinks this is alright. They will do these women more harm than good. The reason why I say this is because, if you go back through world war 2. The japanese had comfort women, they capture women from each occupied countries they colonised and they allow their soldiers to used them like cattle. It's disgusting, thats the true horror there and these women have no idea. 😔😔

This reminds me of my granddad stories when he served in the Gurkha regiment and spend all of his prime years in the land he never got connected or he belonged. He insisted he stayed because It was the only means where he could provide and support his loved ones back home. This is why he never encouraged his sons to do so but few of them went on and kept the legacy going on. This made him distraught because he always felt what is Nepal to benefit from it other than few pounds. He saw no difference between migrant worker and Gurkha soldiers because he told Gurkha soldiers gets a appraisal of being courageous but that appraisals doesn't help Nepal in any ways .before he passed away he said now this UK citizenship is making matter worse because in the past at least remittance was being funnelled into Nepal but now this Citizenship saga will stop that one aswell.
