I really enjoyed my conversation with Mary Ruddick. She’s a practicing nutritionist and understands what works in “real life” versus what works in theory. We talked about what we’re seeing in our practices and what has been working for our patients. In this clip we discuss thoughts on the RDA and if it applies to carnivores.
You can watch the entire interview here: • Healing with Real Food...

For thiamine, this is the one I recommend to my clients. us.fullscript.com/product_cards/75937/redirect?store_slug=jcho1586985483 1-2 daily but work with your practitioner! Also, this is why beef-only long term is NOT a good idea! nutritionwithjudy.com/dont-eat-just-beef/

I´ve been a carnivore for 4+years and have never heard this before. This is crucial information for all carnivores because we´re always being reminded that ´Beef Only´ is the optimal way to do it. I´m stunned that I´ve watched and followed so many carnivores and am only learning of this now. I hope you´ll mention this even more often when you´re doing interviews with other carnivore doctors/coaches and advocates. This is too important to ignore. Thanks so much to you both for this discussion. (I tried to order the supplement you recommend, but I´m in Canada and they don´t deliver here. I´ll be getting some tout suite, though!)

I'm curious about you're thoughts on eating enough beef with other foods like eggs and salmon to get those Thiamine RDA. I saw some of your info charts of facebook and saw 8oz of ribeye has 25% of B1. It seems to me that one could eat enough ribeye, while definitely not practical cost wise, along with other animal products and hit the RDA. Are there other reasons why pork should be included? Don't get me wrong, I love my pork belly and shoulder, I just don't always feel great eating them on a regular basis. Love the channel and thank you for putting out great info! Thanks!

I buy Halal meats because they are not aged like other meats. For example, aged beef causes a histamine reaction in a lot of people. Most beef available is aged for varying lengths of time. You can ask your local butcher. You can also read Georgia Ede's info on this topic,if interested.
