I got a speed bag for Christmas because I have hip injuries which have radically changed my life and now I can barely move my lower body. I used to be crazy active - a professional horse trainer - and it all changed quite suddenly. The speed bag is my way to get energy out and keep my upper body active. I feel like a baby when I watch these guys though 😁

My friend, i realize there many ridiculous comments here, I'm a serious student who bought the ez speed bag and having one Hell of a time with it. First of all, I could see that you changed the Swivel and the Bag , neither one is stock, meaning came with it. Second, I am 5.8 ft , in an average doorway, the bag is NOT at the proper level (around bridge of nose or so) ,you would have to be about 5.10 ft to make it ideal. All that aside , it is NOT that easy to install , the side brackets fall all over the place, when you try to raise it up, They should lock in or screw in. Period. Once you get past all that , the bag pops out off the s hook occasionally, that shouldn't happen, it doesn't come with a swivel. When you buy it , Nobody explains all this to you. It's Not the money, its the Principle. Are there any minor adjustments or any recommendations, (bag, swivel, height) so I can enjoy it and learn it properly!!!

It's just like the doorway chin up bars. For anyone who is serious about fitness they are just useless.
@m.y.53604 жыл бұрын
@@gator4458 dude they are not useless. your mind is useless. to build up of course they are useless but as an extra training they are pretty good. imagine you have the back day at evening and already did some chin / pull ups in the morning.

Hey JT I have a quick question, so recently I've noticed that when I'm on the speedbag I'm not doing so well, like I'll start up and then I mess up I'm not sure if my rhythm is off or something because before I was perfectly fine and thank you for the tips you have given in your videos man! Really helped me in boxing quite a bit!
@PrecisionBoxing9 жыл бұрын
+Spikeballmanexe AKATheStalker this has happened to me before. its has something to do with where you are hitting the bag and the timing. Go back to a slower rhythm, super slow and try to figure out how your hand placement or timing has changed, or just go slow and reinforce the right motion before going fast again.

The main benefit for me has been keeping my guard up/shoulder stamina....I hit it twice with each hand then immediately bring my fist back to guard my face and it has help me keep my guard up and return my hand to guard quickly when throwing actual punches and this has helped immensely seeing as I’m a big awkward dude who at first was having a hell of a hard time keeping my guard up durring rounds 🤣🤣

Those bag platforms that move as much as this one does prevent the hitter from going ANY faster than he goes in this video. As you speed up your striking, the platform doesn't speed up with you and disrupts the bag's rhythm. This is going to be a very frustrating tool for a beginner to get good on. You have to already be pretty good to make it work.
