As a beginner, I have found it very beneficial to look at the bag with your peripheral vision rather than looking at the bag. Helps me with getting the rhythm down.

@@MinhTran-nn3uj consistency, at least 3 days a week is a minimum. Don’t be afraid to go slower to make sure you get your technique and form down first. And I found it helpful to do one hand at a time starting out too.

Hitting with your knuckles can give the shoulders a break and work more elbow prehab perhaps and if you hit the bag with wrapped hands it’ll keep everything more protected even though it’s a hassle to do sometimes

The side of the Fist hit is a block that's what it's for. It's to train side of the Fist for a block the two front knuckles is for a punch but in order to make that correct you have to adjust your body position so that your two front Knuckles align with your radius bone and ulnar. Otherwise you'll have injuries if you punch that way. So the training the best training is to do block punch block punch. So that you train the side of the Fist to block and the front knuckles the first two knuckles to punch. Simultaneously that trains you to adjust your ergonomics of your wrist and hand and forearm to hit in the proper way to avoid injury and create them highest impact on the opponent. People learn back fist only because it's easier. And think we should all be aware that doing what's easiest is not what's best.

I’ve got mind to high but been on it a week I can do 2 hits a hand quite fast now but being so high it’s making it hard ,I’m in the Uk I got a black title 6x9 bag spare bladder and a title swivel I’m getting better I follow the noise it’s helps so much it’s really fun feeling when u get quite fast funny enough my left hand me being a right handed person is my better hand it just flows better I don’t know my it flows naturally with the motion when I fault my left hand would be hard to master ,I’m making really good progress but I just need to focus on rhythm as now and again I kink the bag so instead trying to go fast I need to be able to hit the bag for 10-15 mins without any hiccups then I know my rhythm is ok then speed it up ,like I say doing really well hitting it twice and switching hands even after 4 days but I’ve been watching a lot of yours and other videos but I find your video the best the 1-2-3 count is the best way What height should my bag be at the moment my 6x9 is my nose is probably 2” at the bottom and when I have my shoulders in-line I’m punching up so obviously I’ve made it harder for myself I know with adjustable ones boxes changed to higher because it’s so much harder but I’m fresh been on the bag 6 days if u could let me know the perfect hight as I’m going to lower it next week

Punch then count 3 thuds. Hit ... Bag 1st bounce is "1" , rebounds and it's bounce "2" then it goes back and it's bounce "3". Now punch the bag. You'll eventually get to recognise the 3rd rebound when it's time to punch, the rhythm , speed etc..... punch and then "dig dig dig" punch

Good stuff! learning speed bag now. Confusing at first as you described. The rhythm, 123, da-dink da-dink as heard and felt is really a game changer for me. I tried to track it all with my eyes and it was impossible. But, for boxing, what is speed bag training?

My speed bag isn’t round and I feel like it get out of rhythm easily. If you were to look at it from the bottom, it kind of resembles a stop sign. It’s just a bunch flats and the stitches stick out so we u hit the stitches it gets messed up. All the way from flat to over inflated, it maintains the same shape. Cheap everlast bag? Or something I’m doing?

My son made me a platform off your design, so thanks. I notice from this video, that yours has a bit of vibration. How much is too much? When mounting mine I went to extreme lengths to minimizing vibration. I used multiple anchors into cinder block and used heavy duty angle irons welded by a coworker of mine. I will try to videotape a session to look for vibration. Also I have bad shoulders, is using the speedbag likely to help or make them worse?
