Welcome to the Pilates Beginners Series. The 4 workouts in this series are easy to follow with lots of form pointers so that you can familiarize yourself with Pilates without having to get too technical. The exercises are designed to lengthen and define your body in a joint friendly, low impact way that is suitable for all ages and exercise levels.
In Pilates Beginners Core and Glutes you will start with a push up series as well as some elbow plank and oblique combinations, then move on to an outer thigh series, a triceps dip series, a lying inner thigh series and some glute bridge work to finish.
Fitness level: Beginner/Intermediate (Add ankle weights or a resistance loop to make it intermediate!)
Equipment: mat

Added this on to your Pilates Mat Arms and Legs. It's full of interesting moves and doesn't have as many reps as your more advanced workouts but when you use it as an add-on like i did today or on easier days you definitely feel you are doing a gread job 😊😊😊😊😊😊! Thanks a lot, Linda!

God bless you Linda!! this is my first workout after bein sick with the flu and it was just what I needed to ease into working out again!..to be honest though if I'd done this back when I was a total beginner I would had died..!took me months to do very basic stuff and in the past I 'd just gave up but at some point I realized that nothing worth is easy in life so I just kept going! ..thanks again so much for all your wonderful workouts!

Sorry to hear you have been sick. I am glad this workout hit the spot for you. I find it hard to do anything absolute beginner, but this is my version 😁. It is great to hear that you stuck in there and continued to push yourself. It's definitely worth it in the end!

I am not a beginner (I don't think LOL,) so I added 4 lb. ankle weights in the beginning... then was begging for mercy by the end. Very inventive workout as always. Thank you, Linda!

This is a barlates beginner workout, which isn't really true beginner as such so I understand that with ankle weights it would have been tough! Good job for persevering though! 😊

Added this on to your Pilates Beginners Mat Express and had a good one hour workout. My dog enjoyed it the most as I was on the mat all the time and he was by my side throughout the workout trying to be as close to me as possible and keeping me even warmer than I was with his fur 😁. Thank you, Linda! I enjoyed every single move!

I loved this workout! It was really TOTAL body: the recap you did at the end, I was surprised to realize that we really did hit every muscle group! The toe lift on the final twist ab move really helped me feel it in the lower abs. Thank-you!

Love!! I was having withdrawals from mat work so I thought this would be okay on my hip flexors since there are not as many reps. I loved how it targeted everything in the body in one workout! I also paired it with your Beginner Intervals Cardio Sculpt. One of the days I was counting as a workout day, I only did a 20 min upper body so I decided to make it a true four day week haha! Tomorrow I will rest and get back into things on Tuesday. Thanks for helping me get back into shape!! I can't wait to try the others in this series.

Yes, this series is a perfect one to get stronger before you tackle my other more high rep workouts. Once you get back into it it's always hard taking rest days! 😀

OMG! I have been doing Pilates for a year now...I "thought" I was doing okay until this routine...geez louise! I was sweating like a piglet. LOL! A fellow instagramer suggested you. WHEW!

Glad I could torture you! My beginners classes aren't really beginners as such cause I don't really know how to tone it down completely without falling asleep! My workouts are definitely tough so good job for sticking in there 😁

It is a beginners level so it isn't overly tough, but you can add ankle weights to make it harder 😁
