Behringer X32 rack sync issues to S16

Issues with sync. Running firmware 2.10 same issue was occurring with the previous firmware.

A month ago we had one of ours stared having sync issues so we were down to 16 channels. We contacted Behringer it took 2 weeks for them to let us know we were no longer under warranty (although the website states one business day). They gave us contact info for their Vegas service center 2 weeks later we still haven't been able to get through to the service center. After our second unit failed right before an event I emailed the address that notified us we were out of warranty, they contacted my boss and he directed them to me since I handle our repairs. They have yet to contact me. We ended up buying two replacement units while we wait to work out the repair and plan on using those as back ups at two locations, they work fine so far. We are also planning on buying the smaller x32 fearing board failure which would be awful to have happen before an event!

I have the same problem. I just purchased my x32 rack and had not used it with the s16 until this weekend. It would never sync. I previously used the same s16 with my x32 compact. I saw the issue one time with the compact but thought it was a cat-5 problem but am now rethinking that. I used the compact and s16 lots of times without problems though. Have you looked at the firmware version on the s16 itself? I plan on doing that tonight myself. I do see a firmware upgrade available for the s16 and it came out late last year and included some notes about improving sync.

There has been some discussion about "clocking" mismatching with those using anything other than Cat5e cabling. Don't ask me why this would be an issue but one of the Music Tribe techs did mention that a syncing issue could be a prob in this case.

Did you try manually setting sync rate on the snake as Peter de boer said? I just got an d32 compact and s16 snake and have been having the same issues. I can get them to sync but now the status light on x32 sporadically goes out and says "n/n" then goes back to green. We use this at my church a happened about 25 times this service.

I did get this fixed under warranty. It was a motherboard issue.

You need to set The sync on aes 50 and not on internal. You connected rack en s16 by AES 50A.

I have almost the same problem. I connect the x32 rack port a to the SD16 port a. The AES50 A is flashing red. I don't know why

@@FSRaaMarcK It was the cable in my case, find a proper ethernet CAT5e or CAT6.

I'm beside myself trying to fix this same problem. Mine is the x32 producer. Will not sync with my s16. I've tried making either one the master and the other the slave, still not even a blinking red light (where the "A" light should be on). If anyone found a fix for this, can you email me? [e-mail]
