Nice job! My 11 yr old Mali just lost her battle with cancer. She meant the world to me and anyone who met her. They are a phenomenal breed when handled and trained properly. Those that know the breed know they can be hard to civilize and seem to relish in excitement and chaos. That is what makes your video so impressive... The end result is a well trained, well behaved pup that would be a joy to own. Keep up the great work, but you sure waste a lot of pizza...

Don Medine How would you compare a Belgian Malinois to an Australian Cattle dog? I have a 7 month old blue heeler from a working blood line. although at first when he was younger, he seemed like too much to handle, but once I educated myself in dog training (operant conditioning), handling him because a breeze. I deeply enjoy training due to his high drive. I ask how they compare because I really wang a Malinois and feel ready. thx
@DonAv8s7 жыл бұрын
Chris G Blue Heeler's are really neat dogs too. Their energy seems different than a Mali to me. A Mali wants you to play retrieve with them until they find something else to do. Blue Heeler's love to play retrieve just as much but don't keep begging you up play if you don't want to. They just wait patiently until the instant you are ready to play with them again. Both breeds are great but different at the same time.

Such an inspiring video. My Mal is currently going through the OLK9 board and train in Jacksonville. I am very pleased with the results so far. To all of you negative Nancies trolling on the e-collar, guess what? YOU NEVER have to use one! Isn't it great how that works in our country? Stop always finding things to bitch and complain about. This is impressive work. The dog showed zero aggression or fear as a result of the collar and it only administers a correction when the button on the remote is pushed. The collars are not worn all the time. Buncha whiners.

Thank God someone here knows about what the video is ALL ABOUT. 👌

The funny thing is I'll be willing to bet it's not even a shock collar. The training used on my Belgian Mal requires a vibration and sound collar. It's kinda like a tap on the shoulder to get their attention.
@lukecamp72626 жыл бұрын
Section for smart people.. We understand the purpose.. I need a dog like this.
@marka17125 жыл бұрын
My trainer got me to use garmin e-collar on my gsd. It has vibration, sound and shock modes. I’ve tried the shock mode on myself from level 1to 18(highest) and to be honest it’s not terrible. Can’t even feel it til 6 and I use it on 5 99% of the time. He’s very dominant and aggressive with other dogs and wants to chase and kill other animals like squirrels and rabbits and neighborhood cats. Positive only training did not work. I tried for 6 months. I’m not a novice owner. I’ve had dogs for all of my life. Always trained with treats and the occasional stern no. This guy wasn’t having any of it. Now after proper training and use of the e-collar he’s nearly perfect. I haven’t even put it on him in a year or more. We off leash everywhere we go. Of course I keep a leash around my shoulders in case I need to put it on for appearances in public but it is merely for looks.

@theroadlesstravelled63886 жыл бұрын
will the dog still behave the same without the ecollar on though? Genuine question.
@Desolcasa6 жыл бұрын
good question and some smart dogs will know when the collar is on an when not. In our k9 training we can see that you have to be careful using it. One dog just ignored the collar when going to the decoy. press the button would just make him more angry for the decoy, so ecollar was no solution. Another one will know it's on and off. In competition you can't use it and yes the smart ones will one. some dogs can take more some can't. Problem is e collar is not THE solution and has to be used carefully.
@leonorf27306 жыл бұрын
If pressing the button makes him more angry for the decoy, IT MEANS HE DOESN'T UNDERSTAND WHAT THE SHOCKS ARE FOR. I am an e-collar agnostic but jesus, you are going to irreparably damage that dog . Watch some of Michael Ellis' videos on how to use e-collars properly.
