How are you dealing with people framing on your knee? Because that's my daily reality in the gym
@BreathEmpowerment Жыл бұрын
@@ninobach7456this is one of my common problems with passing in general. It's natural human instinct to want to step over to pass, and consequently for them to frame. I'm sure there's better ways to deal with it than how I do, but with the other two options posed here (shelf or split) I automatically am thinking to work more on these since they're not as common which means they won't be as recognized and practiced in defense. My thoughts anyway. Maybe someone more experienced will chime in as well

@ericjones18762 жыл бұрын
His techniques are very frustrating to counter. His body lock passing is more dynamic than other instructionals on the topic as well. More of a dilemma creation than a pass. It’s a perfect response to the leg lock game. The big challenge against better people is controlling the inside space well enough to get this depth of penetration and a good lock. But that’s the fight. Lachlan Giles does a good job on this topic as well.

@nooneatall56122 жыл бұрын
You are suppossed to prevent that. You'll see in the instructional how your knee position will compress your opponents foot to his butt often times making that difficult. If your opponent manages to put you in closed guard that kills your bodylock and you have to let go stand up break the clsoed guard and start all over again.

Well first of all you should just avoid being in closed guard. You can't body lock from closed guard effectively (save a few niche techniques) but you should just avoid closed guard then go for the body lock whenever the opportunity presents itself from open guard. Or stuff their legs and drop into butterfly if you want to force it

@JACKKiXi2 жыл бұрын
Depends on where you made the mistake and what type of bodylock pass you were going for. Usually when bodylock passing you want to draw them in towards you and connect their heels to their butt as tightly as possible, this elimiates their ability to shoot the triangle. If you base out with your hand or try to stuff a leg with your hand you risk being triangled.

@KKSuited2 жыл бұрын
In a submission only grappling match, Gordon can probably tap him. In a points format similar to ADCC, it may be close but Gordon still probably wins. Once you add strikes in, Khabib smeshes him without mercy. Khabib's grappling game is amplified by the threat of smesh. You get stuck between choosing between getting punched in the face or choked out. Choked out is usually the better choice.
