Thanks for EN subtitles. I was NOT expecting the little 1.6L Yaris to defeat the SYMS WRX STI which was so strong in its last race, much less the 421hp A45 AMG. I really wish Toyota USA & Toyota Canada will sell the GR Yaris here.

Especially it's very easy to increase power on this GR Yaris. It's a road legal WRC car, just changing exhaust and pipes easily makes it goes over 300HP

Revolution is using the RC model. RC is this slightly stripped version with no aircon & infotainment stuff and only sold in Japan (pretty popular with tuner shops).

Is that why they keep getting rolled by European cars? They only way Japanese cars can keep up is with heavy tuned cars compared to stock ones, like here lol. European FWD less powerful and heavier hatchbacks are faster on track than this 4WD Yaris GR.

バトルの4週目以降、コーナー抜けたストレートで追いつかれるんだろうなって思ったら、バックストレートでも差が縮まらなくてよっぽどコーナー速いんだなって驚いた。 1コーナー大きく回ってスピード乗せてWRX抜くとこカッコいい。

頭を抑えられてよーいドンの加速だと離されてましたが、前に出てからのコーナリングスピードを活かしての加速は速かったですね。 1年前のパーツも出揃っていない頃、タービン交換までしているWRXが相手でこれは、本当にポテンシャルが高いんだと思いました。

GRヤリスはすごい！ということがよくわかりました！ それから、バトルで担当した佐々木選手がクルマに慣れていることがよくわかりますね～ 最終コーナーで5速から4速へシフトダウンするわけですが、メインのお二人が『こんな感じかな～』と手探りでシフトダウンするから、既にターンインしちゃってるのですが、佐々木選手はターンインの直前でシフトダウンしています。オーバーレブしないことがわかっているってことなんですよね～ シフトダウンすることでエンジン回転がいくら上がるか、それをよく知ってるからこそ・・・ 最後に土屋さんが『ヤリスのための～』と言ってますが、まさにその通りのように思います(笑)

Even so weight is a big factor because the tyres wouldve worn out quicker u gutta remember the car is about 500KILOS bro 500 (1,100 pounds heavier for the Americans) more than the yaris which has similar width tyres
