The Opinionator The gear depends on the car mainly. I've literally driven over 200 cars around Tsukuba in Gran Turismo. Also, cars have different gear ratios. Most cars would taken the first corner in 2nd gear for example, no matter the power. You might short shift into 3rd for a smoother exit, but that's beyond the fact.

I legitimately forgot there was a Fairlady in the race! He dropped out so early on! I am proud of the NSX, as despite having about half the power of the ZR1 and 458, did a great job!

この結果からすると、コルベットの素晴らしいコストパフォーマンスが光りますね。 コーナーも結構速いし、20世紀の頃のアメ車=直線番長みたいな先入観はすっかり払拭されましたね。

Fine performance from the NSX-R! Still a legend. The power difference of the 458 and ZR-1 was overwhelming on the straight! All Tsuchiya-san should do is slap on a centrifugal supercharger to his NSX-R and do this race again, then we'll see ;)

@@sergiooliveira1127 Yeah they do some crazy builds. But stock Ferraris are not known for reliability. And many have been known to need extra insurrance called Fire-ari. Lol

It was race moded. Notice it closes the gap with thr ZR1 on corners but gets dusted behind on straight.

I loved the shocked look when they find out the ZR1 is lighter than the 360. Haha!! Chock up a win dor Corvette in that category. Nice balanced test. Thanks for the upload.

Because they do, they never push european and american cars to the limit, only the japanese are pushed to the absolute max. Exemple? They did 1:2,2 in the 458 Italia and its possible to do it in 1:0,8 so yeah not really pushing...

@@sergiooliveira1127 Did you forget about all the times Ferrari sets up its cars for the track when benchmarked. Those cars are slower than you think. No Ferrari engineers here to setup the car, set tire pressures and adjust suspension.

そう、ほんとそれなんですよ。フェラーリやポルシェよりはるかに安く、それでいて速い。 販売当時はノルドシュライフェで市販車最速。 しかもFRでMTモードじゃなく、本当のMT。 アメリカの車だから日本に身近な英語、日本にとって身近なドル、整備性もなかなか良く、部品も安い。 そして豊富なアフターパーツ。エンジン部品もスーパーチャージャーやターボキットまで無数にある。 今の時代、FRに乗りたい、改造したいならアメ車。

@@steelk1561 今やc8は右ハン導入するらしいし、本格スーパースポーツが35とタメで買えるのはでかい。c7も街乗り燃費10キロ/Lだし、今のアメ車はそこまで壊れない

Understand the NSX is as good as it was against these cars because of its lack of power and great sports car build its more of a tame car, as oppose to the Vette and Ferrari which of course have more power and are deeper into the future with there engineering but damn 600+ hp is just a tremendous amount of power to try and tame with spinning out. Look at that Vette in the straight line on this vid and it is killer, but Ferrari had the advantage with a little less power but a more maintainable car. And Max Tuning I agree with you on the 370z it is a beautiful car yet understand these cars that beat them are way above the class. But if you try and compete then you're on your own.

+Gabriel O'Malley Agree! I like that you can get 80% of the performance of those for about 30-40% of the cost, plus the Z will prob be a lot cheaper to maintain over the long run.

+Gabriel O'Malley The conditions are favorable to a lower HP car. This track is short and tight, and it's very cold. The higher HP cars are going to struggle for grip. A normal day at a track like Road Atlanta or even worse Road America, you'd see a huge difference in lap times. I'd guess at least 7 seconds.

Jeremy Plummer here in Europe, and it's probably the same in Japan, the ZR1 costs about the same as a 458

That ZR-1 in the USA is probably like 50-60k USD maybe less not sure. A 458 Ferrari is probably in the $200k+ easy

That's because you're paying for a badge name on the car as a status symbol. Even cars like the old Lamborghini Gallardo got smoked by a 30 grand Subaru. Yeah the top speed is fast but no buddy buys cars to do that anyway.

Yep, but it seems like it is so fast down the straights that they cant overtake it. but it looks so unstable in the corners.. I imagin ALOT of skill is needed for that car to be able to drive it on the limit !

@@dkphantomdk yeah looks like a handful....in many ways the z06 of the same generation was actually the quicker car around tight technical tracks due to the more linear power delivery of the n/a 7 liter.

C6 ZR1 did a 7.19 at the Nurbergring. Mid model C6 Z06 would also beat the NSX R as well.

日本は排ガス規制が厳し過ぎるんだよな。環境には良い事なんだけどさ、スーパースポーツが日本から生まれないのは間違えなく排ガス規制が問題だろ。 いいじゃん高くてバンバン売れるような物じゃないし。

This track have everything... Fast corners, long straights and slow corners. And at 2011 the 370z was less then half the price of a ZR-1. And I think it did pretty OK for that.

The Z and the NSX got raped on the straight. They're very good balanced and good handling cars. They just need FI to play with the big boys

extremedrivr nothing fundamentally changed on the car between 91 and ‘04. Same car designed in the late 80s with 10 more hp.

1989 chassis / engine + 280hp regulation + half the price VS 2011 chassis and engines + no restrictions ! hahahah PS. yes I know which model this NSX was. But lets all face the truth here. It's the same chassis and engine they made back in the 1980s.

It's about balance not power the corvette and the ferrari rightfully so were winners against the jdm cars however they struggled heavily with balance but managed to avoid losing because of the power difference but again the NSX showed it's true balance going through corners

That 458 is such a masterpiece. So easy to handle and quick to get used to, but it better be for that kind of money. The Vette on the other hand takes real time and balls to find the limit but its a monstrously capable race car and does it for less than half the price.

I was wondering what car he was refrencing, the HSV, or the Nismo GT-R... Technically the HSV's tech and development went towards the new NSX, and I'm sure K.Tsuchiya has bought or taken one to a track already.
