Check out the Bluebonnet Cafe in Marble Falls Texas. They've been around since 1929. They make a hamburger that has an 8 ounce patty and a double meat that is 1 pound for basically the same price as the fast food garbage. I've eaten there on and off all my life.

Sensational burger. Made these tonight and they are outerageous. Small changes (dutch mayo, seeded buns, regular thin smash), but still a flavor powerhouse. This sauce dude 😊😊😊...so simple but 100% in yer face flavor...

What I am curious about is what burgers you cook for a backyard cook out.
@BallisticBurgers7 ай бұрын
It depends. If I'm cooking on the flattop, I'll take requests. If someone wants a smash burger, that's what they'll get. I usually whip up a couple different sauces and let them choose the toppings.
@scotto38267 ай бұрын
That looks delicious and I'm not even a pickle fan! But I have to make another comment. I understand the goal in making a smashburger. But turning the meat into a paper thin paste that's smeared on the grill is taking a good thing too far. You can get that crispy edge goodness without having to do that. Just my opinion! The wonderful thing about burgers is there's a million ways to make one and none of them are wrong!
