When a race has spent so long fighting itself why would it then want to fight everyone else now that they could get into space? It's a pretty simple question.

I find it suspicious that in a galaxy wide polity, the only known races - 4 of them - to evolve on Death Worlds all evolved in a space that's 500 lightyears wide. Less than 500 lightyears since they had to stumble across each other first instead of the edge of the quarantine zone. A truly random distribution would have these Death Worlds scattered more evenly throughout the galaxy (or at least the portion of the galaxy claimed by the non-Death World races). All four of the Death Worlder species being in one spot? All of whom are reach interstellar flight at roughly the same time? This reeks of deliberate engineering on someone's part.

So the xeno's plan was kinda dumb even if the death-worlders did fight to the death there would be a very high possibility of the one who would win not being to crippled and consolidating the remaining resources before looking outward once again with more skill more tec more xenophobia and more resources
