it's so nice to hear teochew, it was the first language I learned as a child and I lost a lot of that knowledge but listening to you talk really brings back a lot of core knowledge. Thank you for uploading this video, by the way! My grandma just made this for dinner. This is such a delicious dish.

Late to the party, but I found this video wanting to learn how to make gu chai gue like my grandma use to :) I'm fully teochew and I appreciate you making teochew cooking videos. Hi, I have tried making the chives dumplings. Your recipe is very good. The chives are nice and the dumpling skin is soft and chewy. My husband likes the chives dumplings very much. Just one thing, the flour in Singapore may be a little different from your country, hence I used 1½ cup of hot water instead of your 1cup. Thank u. 😍

I made this today. Unsure whether I let the dough cool down as it cracks when I roll it flat. At the end I just flatten by hand. The wrapper is way thicker than yours when cooked. Love your recipe and easy to follow
