You know what, I loved this video! Just hearing you talk of things with such *joy* ...whether it's cleaning cloths or hats... it's so refreshing. Would love an episode (or more!) a month of cooking. ..that would be fun!!! Fun fun. Nothing over the top, just maybe a dish or two... All the best for 2025, Alicia! ❤

For me, journaling has always been a large part of my life since finding out how to when I was younger. But in the last couple of years, I've learned how to really allow for productive writing such as prompting myself with books I was reading, like my self help ones, or digging deeper from what was talked about in therapy. It's really become a better vehicle for my healing journey. A couple years ago, I got myself a very large journal, around 500 pages, and finished it within a year or so. So then I got myself another one like that. It felt more practical given how often I was going through the smaller 160pg ones. Also, I'm planning to try Hobinichi next year with the A6 size to be complimentary to my larger planner. I find myself needing more space sometimes for daily tasks and notes. 😊 Love listening to what is still working for you!

I thought i had down my house keeping until I bought a home 5 years ago. Honey juju definitely serve as inspiration for me, specially during the pandemic years. I follw recipes too, because it provides consistency and keep trying and adding to my arsenal specially when it comes to my puertorrican recipes.

I live in a high, dry climate but handwashing is a long term staple activity. Lingerie and sweaters and socks and delicates are hand washed and air dried. Things dry easily. I use a lot of drying time as humidifying time. I use “Forever New” liquid or powder wash for delicates. The citric scent component neutralizes a lot of the amines (and odour) in the fabric. I also use the soak cycle, routinely, in the washing machine. Let the cleansers do things in their own time and do other things in the meantime. You can use gentler and more eco friendly products and much less of them. I really enjoy all of your posts ❤

I have always cooked…when I worked long hours, I still oozed on the weekends. I now have a more balanced work life. I cook every day. II do not need recipes for many things. However, I like looking for new recipes for inspiration. Maybe because I am looking to use ingredients I have… a la iron chef. For beginners, it is good to start with recipes from a good cookbook. The quality of the food you eat is so much better

I feel the same about A5 and A6 formats when it comes to planners/journals and wanted something exactly in the middle, and was delighted to find out B6 is exactly that! it’s bigger than A6 but not as big as A5, it’s perfectly portable and wide enough for comfortable writing. luckily japanese stationary companies provide variety of B6 planners with great paper quality, i hope you’ll give it a try and would love to hear your thoughts on B6 size:)

Alicia, I was so lucky to have made it into adulthood before the internet started screwing with everyone's lives. I had already learnt to cook, garden, clean etc. from a very early age. Nothing that I do has anything to do with being ritualistic. As far as skincare is concerned, I had the most horrible oily skin which made me want to wash it and get rid of the daily grime from our everyday lives. Most especially during the acne years. It wasn't until I was 27yrs and had moved out of the city to the fresh alpine air that my skin balanced out. I wasn't obsessed with any particular skincare regime, but always cleansed and moisturised due to the climate I lived in. When we start to age, skincare does tend to come to the forefront when we might notice subtle changes. I now have found a fantastic skincare range that's as natural as they come and will use this as my skin does need it. If I don't use anything, I look sickly and my skin feels terrible. I'm glad that you're happy with what you're doing, but it's not for everyone. Believe me, with the agonising pain that seeths through my entire body 24/7, I'd be happy to skip spending time on my skincare, but it's something that my skin does require, especially when health issues are involved. When you finally decide to come and holiday Down Under, you're more than welcome to clean all you like! I never used to mind that much, but as my pain has increased and my triple broken predominant arm never healed properly, it's much more of a hindrance. I had to laugh about your hat journey. Once you've started, there's no turning back. I lost most of my hair in my mid-20s after being critically ill. I wore hats to cover my lack of hair, but even when it grew back, I continued to wear them and do to this day. They are fantastic for sun protection, bad hair days or just to flaunt your style. I love them! Luckily, I can make my own beanies due to being able to knit since I was five years old. Let me know if you'd like an original. I used to always read from a very young age. This helped tremendously throughout school and made writing that much easier. I'm sure you can tell how much I enjoy writing by now. Being alone walking without listening to music etc. is very important. It makes us more in tune with nature too and situationally aware. When I'm not able to get out, I like to play those KZbin videos of someone taking a walk in the snow or at other times of the year. It's so calming when simply listening to a crackling wood fire. I used to have my own when living further up the valley where it's colder, and the ambience is divine. I miss it so much. I'm now lying in bed with a migraine today, yet with a noisy fan directing cool air on me in the 35°celcius day, before the next two days reach 39°celcius over the weekend. I'm also wearing one of my silk eye masks to block out the light that causes me more pain due to the type of migraine I have. Don't worry, I won't rattle on any further. Glad that you're content with how your goals are coming. Go at your own pace and don't let anyone else tell you otherwise. It's interesting to hear about another's goals and achievements. Thanks for sharing.🇦🇺💖👩🏼🎨

Thank you for this video. I have been on a similar life style change journey for a while. Its necessary every so often really. We all get caught up in media influence. But my choice in clothes and skincare mostly. Great choice for a video.

Have you watched "the harder they fall?" No movie has ever made me want to wear hats like this movie. I can't wear hats. I'm short. I have a ton of hair. I get too hot. I look like I'm going to ask what kind of sauce you would like with your meal. This movie, though... made me want to buy all the hats! I haven't gone for it yet but it's on my mind!
