Made this last night. Invited my omnivore daughter over and she LOVED it! My kids are serious foodies (all born in France - discussing food since the age of 4 - not kidding!), I loved her asking me about the crust and the cheese sauce and seeing how amazed she was at how delicious this pizza is!! The tofu really had the flavor of pepperoni!!! I had some peppers and zucchini I needed to use so I roasted them and put them on along with mushrooms, onions. In her words, "Mom, this is a keeper". Now, what to make of Jill's recipes tonight🤔Thank you again, Jill♥

This has become our go-to pizza recipe. It’s hard to explain the crust texture and flavor but it grows on you….and the cheese is wonderful! We substitute oat milk for water in the cheese recipe - it seems to make it creamier. We also use the cheese on taco’s, it makes for a wonderful plant-based substitute for dairy cheese and sour cream. Thanks much for creating the recipe! Can’t wait for the new cookbook!!

So... I over cooked the first crust. Sigh, story of my life. I didn't want to throw it away, I didn't burn it, it was just very very crispy. I broke it up into pieces and used it like bagel chips for chocolate hummus. OMG. This crust is phenomenal. The pizza recipe is yummy, but this crust is out of this world fantastic. I'm making a batch a week, baking the 10 minutes, cutting it into "chips", baking until crispy and living my best snack life. Jill, you're a miracle worker. Thank you thank you thank you!

RobinEsch Ground almonds would work fine. Maybe just make sure they are pretty dry. There isn’t a substitute for Nutritional yeast. 🤗
@RobinEsch6 жыл бұрын
I made this recipe tonight and it turned out great! I didn't have fennel so I looked up substitutions and used 1/2 Dill and 1/2 Cumin. I dried the tofu pepperoni in my dehydrator so it dried maybe a bit too much but with the Cumin especially, it ended up tasting like sausage. I didn't have wine vinegar so I used all Apple Cider vinegar. I used 1/8th cup Nut. yeast. So many substitutions - last but I used a drop of Oregano oil because I was out of dried oregano. I wasn't sure how big of a can you used for the tomatoes/sauce. Thanks for a really delicious recipe - love it. PS, I had 2 cups of regular Almond meal so I used almond meal pressed dry from making Almond milk, to make up for the last cup. It was a bit moist so I ended up mashing bits of flour/baking powder mixture to make sure it was well enough mixed. But then it got mixed pretty well once I added the water. Not bad for me for a first attempt.
