On my first job, I did a mistake of overcommitting. It took a toll on my physical and mental health. I did quit and took a break for 3 months to stay at my home with parents. Got job in my hometown and even though the pay was less, I had less expenses. Got enough time to chill. After that whenever it comes to career choices, I prioritize myself first. I maybe replaced by another guy when I die. I keep reminding myself

It was her first job and she being a fresher , i can imagine the need to work super hard to confirm the employment with company. Especially in times of tough economy. Companies need to ensure mental well beings and empower individuals rather than managers who sometimes get disappointed by not having their referrals get the roles and start harrassing those who got job through merits. Abolish refferal culture. Give equal opportunities to everyone. 🙏

What's the advice you have for mothers who are forced to join back job after maternity leave without any family support at home ?
@panditpawar9553
@panditpawar9553 Ай бұрын
This is true, especially in private companies. As per the rules, their private companies are required to comply with office hours which are not followed. According to the rules, there are concessions for employees to be taken in a year whose full quota is almost impossible to use.(holidays for family or personal important work) In meetings of private companies it is said that you have to get used to working under pressure. In private companies, employees often face high pressure due to heavy workloads, tight deadlines, performance expectations, and competition. This pressure is driven by the need for productivity, cost efficiency, and meeting business targets. Long hours, multitasking, and managing multiple projects simultaneously do lead to stress and burnout, affecting both mental and physical health. The demand for quick adaptability and constant availability, especially in sectors like tech, finance, and consulting, further intensifies the workload.

I am a student at Tata Hospital. Being a student also we have to work like other staff without any payment. They say it's for academic requirements. For 80% attendance, they get us work for 100%. In this process, I do not get support from anyone if I try to raise my voice. Others stay calm and people end up thinking I am aggressive. . It has been such a bad experience in my two years course. All I want to say is that Indian companies, max. companies do not care how much you are suffering in your life, they are only concerned about making money so that they can have grand weddings, vacations and you as an employee do not even get to see your family also. After studying for 26years we still do not get a salary more than 30k.

For company operating abroad they care for ur health only in there mails ... To be honest they expect u to work as much as possible if its is a MNC , a startup will exert that work on u don't and they doesn't care anything at all... Half of the companies ceo are staying in abroad and just take advantage of working capitals till there last drop of blood

Well the problem I have faced is that when I would raise my voice, even when I was a fresher, against this overwork culture or refused to work on weekends, there will always be a few new people who 'apparently want to prove themselves unnecessarily and say yes to everything', and people like us who want to have a life apart from work or a good work-life balance will be shunned. These managers will give an example of these folks saying "if they can do it, why can't you, you are not special". In all the firms or teams I have worked in I have always come across these kinds of people who ruin the work culture by overgiving or glorifying this toxic culture, and all others suffer because of the same.

Underlying health condition? Here hardwork means work to the extreme over work. There is a capacity for every human. N the work also has extreme pressures. Handling too much work, so many hours, the pressure, the brain body organs heart stress anxiety..even the breathing gets affected. Extreme work pressures can cause a death. Not only corporates but any field it can b a house wife at home also n any field.
