I wish I could count the amount of current singers that have stolen beats/samples from small DJs that have been around longer than these people have even been alive. The City Girls, Cardi B, and Nikki Minaj have all done it numerous times, and never given the credit due to the artists, or even the regional cultures that the music comes from. I guess when you have 6 writers, and 9 producers, it gets hard to do those kinds of quality checks. That said, I do think Beyonce sings beautifully, but pop music isn't exactly known for its originality or creativity. Pop Music is just a consumer product.

A lot of artists steal. Simply copying an idea verbatim. One should at least pay the artist who created it. That's not quite how rich people operate is it? It's difficult when you're small and just hanging on and then someone huge comes along and decides to just take. I've always seen her as a performer. Never for a moment thought she was sitting down at a piano and writing her material. Or choreographing her dances. Especially not that, because you can tell they're carefully rehearsed. Why is this so noteworthy when a black woman does the same thing every single other popstar does. People only come for Beyonce because she's the best.
