Instead of ground to alternator mounting bolts, I'd run that to the back of the alternator housing. That will keep the alternator cooler and take better advantage of the negative alternating current.
@SOBERSCUMBASSHEAD3 жыл бұрын
That bolt connects the back of the alternator housing to the engine and wire lug is mounted there thats why the engine is grounded to the frame and battery to frame ...??so isnt the return ground to the battery just a quicker path then all that ??

Where did you get your voltage regulator bypass module? Does it trigger the battery light on dash to stay on? Also it looks like you maintained factory cables at the alternator that go to the fuse box. I have a 240amp alternator on its way and was kind of worried about the factory cables.
@SOBERSCUMBASSHEAD5 жыл бұрын
So I got the bypass from mike singer from singer alternators and I have no dash lights at all and I got the. .8 voltage one so if your. Charging at 14.4 you would go to 15.2 which when I'm driving I will stay at 14.9 to 15.2 at full tilt and of course at idle I loose some ....and I didnt touch any factory wires your just upgrading the wires I wouldn't suggest taking out factory wires .... I worried too but I watched a lot of videos and read a bunch of stuff on forums...good luck bro on your build

Any in line fuses from the 2nd battery to the amp? & im curious why no fuses in between the alternator & the up front battery...im wondering if it is necessary for my upcoming system
@SOBERSCUMBASSHEAD4 жыл бұрын
whats up bro so the factory wiring doesnt have a fuse between alt and front battery either..and yes i have fuses between amps and back battery i see alot of system on you tube without them but id rather have fuses safer and protects a problem from taveling and causing more problems and money ...i have fuses from front battery under the hood and another set of fuse in the back of the car before second battery also and amps are fused as well bro... some say its necessary some dont...

The extra fuse or fuse box can create noise in the line and is also overkill, unnecessary.

Why double runs?
@SOBERSCUMBASSHEAD3 жыл бұрын
I was thinking years in advance right now I am building a wall and my front battery is going to be eliminated I will be using a empth battery box and those runs are going to my yinlong bank in the back ...abd once this wall is complete and sounds good I will be slowly picking up bigger subs another 8k amp and adding adding another yinlong bank or super. Caps to the empty battery box under the hood...double runs is better for what I wanted to do in the future so I dont have go backwards and add runs and I will be getting a more powerful alt...hopefully that made sense...i was thinking future

Another uneducated big 3/4 video. Same faulty recipe as you see in every other big 3 video on here. Zip ties, under hood. All that power and he grounds his amps to a STEEL BODY GROUND LOL. Chinese aluminum jelly insulated wire. Double runs not required for that tiny alternator mess. Aluminum battery terminal plates LOL. No copper available anymore?
