Unfortunately not. It will most likely stay as a low volume "Supercar". This will be the first use of HMGICS manufacturing Hyundai has been researching with cell type assembly instead of line type assembly. Basically cell type assembly is high tech coach building.

What they could do if the main concept is to expensive, release a mass production model that is much more basic in nature but with the basic shape and design of the car itself, So that we can later customize it over time with aftermarket parts and make it come as close as possible. I just hope they do it at all, so that we can all at least have a chance to drive something like this!

I disagree. This car being offered in 4 cylinder would mean that it is affordable enough for the masses. Which means, the car would not look anything like the concept. Mass produced doesnt mean it has to be affordable for average joes and their grandmas. This car can still be mass produced at 200k+ pricetag.

But look at Porsche, they had such simple designe of they models with each of them changed a little, but they still are been sold today due to how awesome they look. A bit of Engine tweek here and there and maybe even some swaps and its still a phenomenal chassis. But the Hyundai 74 Concept is sad to not see where it could have went. The Hyundai N Vision 74 and its predecessor, the 1974 Hyundai Pony Coupé Concept, were designed by or with participation of Italian designer Giorgetto Giugiario who also designed the famous 1980s DeLorean DMC-12. Hyundai become really good in design. I love the Concept N 74. And i wish, they would create an electric normal version. Without that wide body and without rear wing. Only 200 hp or so, and make it affordable. There should be enough people out there, who want a coupe in that retro futuristic style. Nobody needs 800 hp for daily use. The Ioniq5 has a special styling, the Cybertruck has a special styling, and it would be crazy to see a second special styled car by Hyundai. So pls, bring out a version for us normal people. The old variant was affortable, too. So bring the legacy back to us.

If they make a mass production version that looks like the concept, i'm buying it. Doesn't need to be as extreme as the concept, but it will have to have somewhat wide fenders and everything else exactly the same. It'll be PERFECT. There is no way a more basic version of this won't be mass produced. The feedback has been CRAZY and i'm sure Hyundai is very much aware. Missing this golden opportunity will be a MONUMENTAL FAIL. They have to capitalize on this. If i was in charge, i would also make a sedan version of this as well.

Hyundai could absolutely package this vehicle as a performance gasoline/electric hybrid. Begin with the Lambda 3.3 twin turbo found in the G70/Stinger in a mid engine configuration driving the rear wheels and integrate a dual motor electric setup for the front axel, with a 100-200bhp or so output. That should deliver 500-600bhp of rear biased driving with AWD front electric assistance, not too different from the C8 Corvette E-Ray, which clearly has displayed fantastic results. If Albert Biermann was still in control, I know this is an option he would have explored. He was in charge of developing 4 or 5 "rolling labs" which were Kia Stingers equipped with a high hp hydrogen/electric hybrid setup before news broke that he was being replaced by Chung Kook Park as Head of R&D. At least the drivetrain found it's way into the N Vision 74 concept.

Hyundai for some reason refuses to learn the lesson that Japanese automakers learned in the 70s-90s. Quality, reliability, price, and style. Nissan in particular dominated the sports market in the 70s with the Z. Toyota dominated the 80s and 90s with the Celica, Supra, and MR2. All while selling plenty of boring cars too. Meanwhile Hyundai refuses to price correctly, they keep DRM locking vehicles which causes costly repairs and a bad reputation for reliability, every car they sell (even the fast ones) are boring as all hell and have the style of room temperature butter left out. As Japan has lost their way (in particular with price), the fact that Korean manufacturers refuse to make anything even remotely appealing is shocking. Only crossovers, only sedans. And only mediocre sport packages. Where is their competitor for the MX5, Supra, Tacoma, etc. The N vision '74 should ditch the innovation, stick to the style, slap a reliable turbo I4 or an I6 in it and just make something actually fun. A middle finger to tesla' s idea of the future. The future is never about tech. The Lexus LFA uses a shitty infotainment system with an old scroll ball to navigate it with (super futurist for the time. Also super stupid and dated). But that didn't make the LFA what it was. TL;DR Korean manufacturers refuse to compete and have an incompetent sales/design/engineering department. Lower costs, fix DRM locks, focus on looks, increase reliability, and sell sell sell.

Converting it from a hybrid hydrogen to a hybrid ICE setup probably would be a lot harder than just making it electric. I really hate companies taking cool street cars and making them completely inaccessible for 99% of the people interested in them. If I had that much money burning a hole in my pocket, I’m not buying an NSX or a special edition GTR or STI, I’m going all in and getting something Italian or German. Would it be hard to make consumer hydrogen maker for home use that is sold with the car? If you have water and power source at home only thing you need is tank, compressor and hydrogen separator. This sounds a lot like water heater with compressor. How complex can it be? One of the simples water heater devices is actually working on hydrolysis - just two razors connected to wires and separated by match sticks and using water minerals as resistance. It is dangerous device I must ad, without any safety precautions.

This is really disappointing news. Yeah its cool that they're gonna make it but they might as well not be because I'll never be able to get one.

Imo Vision N is a "show car" to represent "vision" of hyundai line up future, wouldn't be surprised if they'll made some cars based on this project for more budget customers after 2026

Terrible move Hyundai. They easily could've come out with an ICE or hybrid version for everyone and killed it in the enthusiast market. While ALSO having this special edition one for rich a-holes. Super disappointing decision from a company I thought was going in the right direction.
