Hudson's had a special vibe. I always admired them on the street in childhood.

I grew up with a kid whose dad had several Hudson’s. If memory serves me correctly, he had a 37 a 51 and two 54’s (one was a Twin H). He would take us kids in them for short rides around town and it’s something I’ll never forget. Beautiful great riding cars.

I watched this video just because of my interest in Hudsons. I heard a familiar name, Walt Chapman. I met Walt when I looking to get a road site repair vehicle. Walt knew so much more than me and our head mechanic. He told us what we needed and all we had to do is order it. We had never heard about using a nitrogen tank instead of a compressor. Best decision we made. I listened and marveled at Walt's stories about his racing. Every year your Hudson and Walt were in the Clarion Co. Autumn Leaf Festival parade. He was a great person and I am so proud to know him.

Awesome video! I've always had an interest in Nash, Hudson, Rambler and AMC cars.

Wow!! Very very Rarely i get to see peeps saying ""i have an interest in Hudson AND Nash""..you combined Nash name next to Hudson is a big thing.. big respect mate!! Yes Nash is one gorgeous thing and highly underrated and underappreciated!!
@jasoncarpp77423 жыл бұрын
@@ckryses3962 I'm too young to remember when either Nash, Hudson, or Rambler were ever on the market. But I remember cars like AMC. My parents had a 1974 Matador 2 door. I had a neighbour who had a Gremlin.

I heard Bill's name mentioned many times. My Dad, Keith Chamberlin, Venice, CA, collected Hudsons. He had 13 Hudsons at one time. He sold Bill Albright his favorite Hudson, a 38 Hudson, Custom 8 Series. He always regretted selling it.

This is the second time i have watched this video. Thank you for putting it up. I did not know much about Hudson's, as a boy - born in '46, but over the last few years i have grown to appreciate them. This is the best informative video i have seen.

That custom at the end of the video is one wicked car. I've never seen a Hudson done like a Mercury sled, but obviously they're natural candidates for it.

My friend and I are Members of the HET Club & Knew Bill Albright. he was a good man. and he is sorely Missed BTW the 56 Hud at 3:07 used to be Our little Jewel.. we loved that car but it developed Mechanical problems And we had Our Eye on A 1949 Hudson so we sold it to someone who brought it to Bill and he Totally Re-Did it and last I heard it was Running like a top again.

Are there any Hornet "X" export models around? My (now deceased)father-in-law had one that he got through the factory's racing team mechanic.

Great vid! One question though, why does that black '53 convertible not have a rear window in it?
@UberLummox6 жыл бұрын
Most older convertibles you could unzip the rear window and lay it flat.

Love the ad on that racecar, lol...pure sanitized gasoline. Is there such a thing as unsanitary gasoline?
@dlwatib7 жыл бұрын
Gasoline was often very dirty and most engines had fuel filters. Presumably "pure sanitized gasoline" was passed through a filter.

The '54 Hudson Super Wasp looks a little smaller than the '53. I've never seen a '54 before, but it's an impressive improvement over the '53. They shouldn't have merged with Nash before giving the new body a run for the money. It looks a lot better than the '55 rebadged AMC model. And they could have bought a V8 with trans. from Chrysler to offer as an option.
