It's a horrible comparison to make but sometimes women do smell like rotten seafood or sewage. It's could be a whole list of things but I think that in most cases it's often a medical condition or they have high flow during their time of the month and they aren't clean about this situation or they're caught unprepared. I'd suggest being honest about the smell but do it in private better to embarrass them for a moment privately than to humiliate them. People prefer to know that they smell because it's something they can fix most times. Change in diet, cleanliness, habits whatever often solve these things. Maybe she has anosmia and has no clue.
