Bill's curmudgeonly attitude keeps him funny. Rogan was saying on his podcast with Whitney Cummings how some comedians lose their edge after becoming successful because they're too happy and comfortable and haven't got anything to kick against. My account manager was a dick. A sarcastic dick to boot. I told him I wasn't paying his commission for handling my account for him to be a comedian, and that the last guy (who got promoted) was efficient, nicer, in a way that I never had to see him because shit was being done. He told me I had to write a letter to him asking to switch managers, and he'd have to approve. I told him I'd take the same time writing a letter to the administrator saying if they don't switch me from this incompetent I'd take my business to the competition. Now they switched me to this nice lady who understands I want to be minimally invested in everything and just mails me occasionally for confirmation. Life is just fucking peachy.

Bill is right about women having some weird need to buy shit. The worst part is that they buy a bunch of disposable shit that adds up a lot! They will spend tons of money on cloths or other stuff that goes out of style or breaks in a year but then they freak out if you spend a little extra on something. One time I bought an expensive leather belt that was very thick and high quality leather and my wife was like, "you could by 5 belts for that price" and I replied "or I could buy this belt that will outlast those 5 belts put together PLUS I get to have a nice belt that whole time!!" Same with tools. She wonders why I spend twice as much for a quality tool and EVERY time I have to explain that the tool may cost twice as much but it lasts 5 times as long. it is the difference between buying thow away shit VS buy shit that you pass on to your grand kids. I have a table saw that was made in the 1940s that works much better than a Dewalt saw that is brand new. I think a lot of this has to do with women constantly wanting NEW shit rather than GOOD shit.

It is not wrong to have expectations. And it is healthy to have strong emotions when they are not met. Especially when those expectations are common. This meditation thing, is fucking creepy Bill. It's like it is teaching you to have weaker mind.
@vhscopyofseinfeld5 жыл бұрын
Richard Down no it’s not. Staying calm is crucial for reasoning. When you have strong emotions you illicit your limbic system; when you get emotional and it’s activated, it physiologically impedes your ability to think critically.

I have the same problem but I think the guy is right about expectations being the source of that anger and frustration. When you do your job, you make sure that people get their money worth but that's not the case for a lot of people. People do whatever they can get away with. Basically You could have told him: "I came to the bank to have somebody to help with this. It's your job. Do it." And hand all the documents It might have worked

'You give me 0.8% on my money, you guys invent money, you're literally counterfeiters, you nuke the economy every six years, and on top of it I have to come in and read the numbers off to you, fuck off' Oh man, that's some classic Bill. I'd love to conjure a rant like that on the spot one day. The only problem is that every company has outsourced their customer service to some part of the world where you don't know if they even have food to feed their kids that day and you already feel like a hoity toity American jackass just for calling what is supposed to be 'customer service' and they probably think you personally started the Iraq War and drive around wearing a MAGA hat and now you're supposed to ask them for help with something they have no authority or ability to help you with. Freakonomics genius move. Someone should make that illegal. Put the threat of Johnny Law behind customer service reps. Maybe an app that instantly docs the representative's info to the company, and if that doesn't work it gives you a full printout report of all the not giving a fuck that went into your effort to get some help.
