I love the statement “you don’t have to be fathered by your biological father but, you need to be fathered. Every man needs a man. “. Absolutely a profound statement single mothers need to hear and understand.

I'm not sure if we need a man in our life to be the person we should be, truth is that most people went down the "WIDE" road without giving yourself or your partner a chance and that's real. Personally, I would have never gotten a relationship that I wanted and needed just because most people we leaving the life and lies of other people's who knew that the way they were living is wrong but now that god have allow the universe to open up by the way of virtual reality it was a chance of a life time to show the man I chose in my mind that I could give him what he wanted. You already got it and had it since birth but you had to remember her cause she was you and you said it that she would have done anything for you, like the time you had to go back home she welcomed you without judgement and that is something that some parents will not do. She knew you and loved you and that love will never stop. A woman's love is like a mother's love but men have been taught to tell his woman, partner, that "you ain't my mother. We know this but this is the love and self care we have for ourselves that is snatched away from us and begin to not trust others because our hearts have just been hurt. We know that we are not our partner's mother but it is our innocence and our nature of love you guys didn't want to with one who needed love and wanted the same thing back. Women were rejected and not given a real chance to love for real men used the same excuse year after year, girlfriend after girlfriends that I saw happening to other generations before and after. All we have to do was try something different for self.

Vulnerability is the birthplace creativity, joy & peace. Just like Sally, my mother wasn't a textbook nurturer by design. So in all my life, I gravitated to mother surrogates with unconditional love and warmth to shape my womanhood. We do not have to let our traumatic life experiences dictate our journey to self discovery and truth.

I am learning how to live vulnerability. And, I was raised with a one-sided matriarchal mindset, which isn't the worst thing, but can be very naturally combative to listening, or letting myself be open to him. Or more open. Whether he's in the wrong or not, if I can't receive that vulnerability, then there's no space for dialogue.

Like most men, I was well into adulthood, nearing middle-age before I FINALLY knew anything about women and what (the overwhelming majority of them) respond to. Knowing what I know now, while Dondre is a good-looking guy, and certainly was back in the day when they got married, yet at the same time, Hollywood is FULL of attractive people. There were certainly guys with more money, however, I can't help but think that a major reason Salli stayed with him despite his 'running the streets' is the same reason that (most) women stay, subconsciously, she likes knowing that her man CAN attract a lot of other women. When I was young and dumb, I used to think to myself, 'Why in the hell would a woman want to be cheated on?' It's not that she wants you to cheat on her per se, it's like the late, great Patrice O'Neal used to say, 'She wants to know that you CAN attract other women.' It's a subconscious thing with a lot of females...................from 15 to 75. It's the same reason why, 14 times out of 11, when a guy has a girlfriend or several, he will often find other women sending him choosing signals. When he's in a drought, women won't give him the time of day. Your 'energy' is different. Men wearing wedding bands has the same effect. I have seen it first hand, several times.

Very few people care about walking the narrow road because society has taught us that the women need to accept the idea that there is...women for one man. Y'all believed the lies and lived that way I the moment rejecting women who didn't agree to this way of living which in turned caused some men to lie and cheat to have the women they wanted and still be able to dipped their big toe into another woman's pool. Now we have a melting pot that was chosen by the majority. "We The people" created this mess but want someone else to clean it. No one forced us to live the way we did, it was chose to do it. Y'all rejected the true women for a bit of fun and pleasure.

Sometimes Dondre irks my nerves when he tries to be deep. It comes off very preachy. I can’t get into his Male vs Man series because it’s like he goes out of his way to pontificate. He’s wants to always lecture people. He’s become self righteous.
