They have been doing that for years. It's system that prevents people who want to drive manual but forget to change when they hit the redline. I've got a Q7 2013 and it's the same in manual mode, even though i've got an 8 speed.

My m240i will shift up in drive if I use paddles. So if in drive and I start pulling paddles it shift automatically. If the box is in s/d and start pulling paddles it didn’t change up. It just cuts the power

Been like that for a while with those DSGs they put in the S3 and Golf R etc. Caught me out on my R when its changed up automatically just before I pull the paddle and end up losing all power.

Yeah, inline 6 are only on mx40i like the m340i and m440i. At least it's better than a 4 cyl c63... Nothing against hybrids, I have one, but the amg 63 brand should keep a v8, if not possible call it a c55 or something

VW is boring in a lot of ways, they make no technical advancements even tho they have by far the biggest budget. Same models every year and their interior seems to degrade with every new model they introduce. There is Just no soul in any of their cars and the baseprice is astonishingly high in comparison to other cars in the same segment. In comparison: Mazda 3 and Golf 8. An 'enthousiast' wouldnt go for any of these cars of even a 'sports' SUV. They are made for people that only care about numbers and cool/ aggresive looks. No feel, no Passion Just pure moneymakers. I would rather drive a bicycle.

The Turbo creates more boost as you go up the gears to avoid spinning tyres as you pull away, so the BMW seems to give more boost as it goes into top gear....and it's not a Double clutch 🤔

Guess there is something about the Audi is different? T Roc is essentially same car, but sound better, so is Audi putting on mufflers that’s muffle more sound than the VW version? If so is T Roc muffler compatible with SQ2? Maybe SQ2 owners can do a swap to T Roc R muffler if that’s the case.
