As someone with vermiphobia, I can say that centipedes are far more comfortable to be around than any ragworm is. They don't evert their own bodies, they die when cut in half instead of morphing into two separate creatures; as arthropods they're more like us then some alien eldritch horror tremors monster like Bobbit worms. Snakes, eels, centipedes, caecilians, millipedes, even velvet worms are all cool in their own way. But actual worms, whether annelids, flatworms, tapeworms, roundworms or what have you, there's something deeply unsettling about them that's hard to place.

It is so cool how they were only discovered after workers noticed fish going missing so they set up surveillance and saw the Horror that is the Bobbit Worm for the first ever time. There is also a Theory which states that among the Ocean's deepest floors there may lie Super Bobbit Worms, larg enough to easily drag in an entire Human. :)
