This is a very traditional way of making momo in most Nepalese households. No added masalas and unnecessary flavour enhancers. Very simple delicious and comfortable food that it is. Thank you. I love every second of this video.

I made this yesterday with a chicken keema filling, following all other steps in the recipe. First time I made momos at home, and they turned out amazing - better than the store bought! I am by no means experienced at rolling dough, and getting thin momo wrappers was a concern I had before attempting this. But the instructions given in the recipe made it so easy. Thank you Bong Eats for being a teacher, friend and guide in our culinary journey.

You can set a colander-like dish with holes in it over a pot/kadai of water. Cover the whole thing with a snug-fitting lid and you have made yourself a nifty little contraption. You don't need a special steamer for this. Basically anything you'd make idlis or something like paturi in will do.

I am from the era when citizens of Calcutta never dated to eat Chinese food, I lived my childhood in Park Street and went to New Market for my marketing, Moni Chand's dad was alive and gave the best Pork. Azmat's National Poultry for Desi chicken, Pork Momo at Hamro Momo in there home for Rs.2.50/- Now there was this Hou Hua on Free School Street who made this out of the world Chimney soup which could be enjoyed when 4 friends got together, I used to organize High Rock Concerts, close friend of Dilip Balakrishnan and Nondon Bakshi, used to have Chinese food at my house other then Fat ma.Now this Chimney soup is available at Eau Chew and some exoctic Chinese food, I want to learn the Chimney soup and the dumplings and meat/ fish ball soup breakfast which they sell in China, China Town, the dry Pork Sausage, Chinese Roast pork the pows made by a Chinese who left Calcutta way back in 1975. Lost recipes must be recovered if you can get it.
