I'd say about 95% of all of my books are second hand, I honestly can't see how people can dislike second hand books, especially when they're so cheap! I'm very keen to hear your thoughts on My Lady Jane, I've had that on my TBR for quite a while.

I feel the same about super hyped books. The more people talk about and praise them, the less I want to read them. At first, I am interested, but then, as more and more people mention them, less and less. I'm probably going to read "Six of Crows" when the craze dies down.

I Love thriftbooks! I was upset when they first changed their shipping policy but I quickly got over it. LOL Yes they are sooooo cheap and I've never had an issue with the condition of the books I receive! I don't hear much on YT about them so I was sooo happy to find your vid!

I love Thriftbooks and like you, discovered them on my own. I hate to tell you, only because I have that book too; "Night Film" is at Dollar Tree for $1.00 (of course)! I was like, "Noooooo! Dang it!" 😀 I was tempted to buy it just so I can say I got it at a great deal. ☺

I love Thrift Books. I discovered them about 6 months ago and all the books I've purchased have been in great condition, minus one which was labeled " like new " but was probably closer to good. I contacted them and they emailed me immediately offering me a credit. No questions asked, so yes they are very customer oriented.

I’m like that when things become really hyped up. It almost scares me away from reading it. Probably because I’m immune to hype almost where I can’t be manipulated into liking something just because everyone else keeps repeating how great it is. And I find that I never end up liking the thing as much as everyone else does. So I end up let down because I expected to be as hyped about it afterwords but it’s usually good but it was built up for me so much that it can never match up. So now I wait until people move on to next thing until I read/watch it.

I'm definitely like that the more i hear about something the more i almost feel like it's a chore i have to do, I tend to get like that with most popular movies like Titanic, it's not that i don't ever want to watch it, its just that I've heard so much about I keep putting off watching it.

The shipping cost is the problem for me. Worldwide shipping is like 5$ per book ! It costs more than the book itself !

Yes, but you pay regular shipping prices, so you'll pay abut more than just the price of the books. In the U.S you get free shipping if you spend more than $10

Where I live I can't find second hand books that are decent quality and if they are nice looking are eighter something I wouldn't read or too expensive.
