There does seem to be distinct muzzle rise without the weight. Your muzzle doesn't flip back much differently, but your whole wrist seems to be rising more.
@booliganshootingsports3 жыл бұрын
Part of that could just be more recoil in general mechanically hitting my arm joint. Since this weighs almost 1/4 lb more than normal, that certainly affects the recoil in general.

If you focus on the travel of the front sight you can see there is much less flip with the counter weight. Its also cool to see what the downward, (probably more inward) force with your grip you use to control the recoil, causing the recoil to swirl through your wrists. Very smooth and gets your sights back quick. Awesome 👍🏾

FN is indeed in the French-speaking part of Belgium, but tension between Dutch-speaking Flanders and French-speaking Wallonia is a big deal in Belgium, as I understand. According to family lore, one of the motivating factors for my great, great grandfather moving to the US was difficulty with the French language.

Excellent work! I could see what you were referring to on the muzzle flip. I think the major difference was the weight brought the front end level while the body was still high. While without the weight the weight it took longer for the muzzle to flatten.
@booliganshootingsports3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it seems like it slowed the impulse to rise just slightly, but once it did, the pendulum effect slammed it right back down on target quickly and smoothly. I’m really happy with how it shot!

The weight module works really well from what the video shows, but have you tried making a custom grip for yourself that fits you better? I think you can achieve a much flatter shooting gun if you can grip it better from the start... also do you not paint-in the text you make on the prints? it looks bit weird with just solid color...

It looks like the main recoil impulse here is still the shot, rather than the reciprocating mass, so a comp would make more sense (and add even more muzzle weight).
