Silly question but for a southpaw do you still do a L or is it like a mirrored L because of where the cross comes from?

You do the same thing, you'll move to the left (clockwise). Front foot moves back, left foot moves left, front foot (right foot) resets in front.

@Encai. Жыл бұрын
Question! Why do we need to bring the lead foot back to the rear foot when we can just instantly plant the rear foot to the side?
@PrecisionBoxing Жыл бұрын
Stepping to the right does not create space or allow you to disengage. Its a great way to counter or create an angle, but it doesn't create initial distance like the L step does. I have a feeling you didn't watch the video lol.

As a southpaw against an orthodox is this too risky a move to use since I'd be moving toward their power hand? Is there a southpaw variant?
@PrecisionBoxing2 жыл бұрын
There's nothing wrong with moving toward the power hand. The issue is that you are slightly safer moving away from the power hand when attacking. But you can only do this so much without being predictable. The key it be unpredictable with your timing and the way you attack. Use both directions when you move and adjust distance.
@kleland192 жыл бұрын
Question is it a step to go to the left a variation of that same step?
@PrecisionBoxing2 жыл бұрын
Only if you are southpaw. There isn't really an equivalent to the left. But to create a similar effect you would pivot out.
