Also Fat Andy did you know Heinz have brought out 4 new soups for xmas and winter warmers. Spicy parsnip, Broccoli and stilton, French Onion and finally Chicken broth. Im particularly interested in the parsnip spicy soup. I like mine with a hint of curry personally and a few " fixins" such as garlicky croutons and fried, dry, crispy onions. Good crispy bread is also essential with lashings of good butter and a small glass of port, Madeira or Masala fortified wine 😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉

Hi Fat Andy congratulations on your 2k subs. You get your case of cider for a job well done 😂🎉🎉. £4.50 is a little steep for pickled onions in cost of living crisis. Personally id buy a supermarket basics pickled onions, a few pierced scotch bonnets, and a few baby red Birdseye thai chillis , and a pinch of cayenne. Should do the same trick me thinks.😅

£4.50 for a jar is such a rip off! You can get picked onions from Aldi for 75p, or Tesco for 90p. 6 times more than Aldi, and 5 times more than Tesco! The quality will probably be better from your mate, but 6x more is just ridiculous, and greedy, especially when many people are straggling!

It’s a one man band, unfortunately he can’t buy in tens of thousands like the big supermarkets, so definitely not a rip off or being greedy as you put it, i know because I’ve had different businesses for the past 30 years and you can’t compete with the big corporate companies it’s impossible, the overheads are to high unfortunately that’s the way the world has gone corporate greed buy in millions and crush the small businesses, that’s why you don’t see the greengrocer or the fish monger and all the lovely shops with the personal touch anymore, but that unfortunately is the way the world has gone, and it’s not going to get any better.

@@fatandy I understand it's a one man job, and it's more costly than big corporate companies, but this is an inexpensive item that is easy to make. There are countless recipes online, and on KZbin. If he was selling it for double, or perhaps even triple the price from supermarket prices, depending on the quality and taste, it would be more reasonable. But 6x more, most people won't even consider buying it even if it tasted really good as they will think they can just buy 6 jars for that price, and can always alter it to their liking if they want to make it spicy, sweet or whatever, which would result in his business not working out!

@mehedi4857 that’s your opinion and to be fair you are entitled to it, but I can you something I visited a farmers market a few weeks ago and there was a stall selling pickled onions and charging £5.95 a jar and people were buying like crazy, quality over quantity, in other words you pay for what you get.

Garners Onions smaller jar are £4 other makes are similar price Tescos own brand are not the done in the same way hence why better quality ones , I work for a artisan Bakery sausage roll goes for £6.95 for one and all meat vs Greg’s 18% meat you get what you pay for You say it’s a inexpensive item are you sure do your research
