Hey, late here but your oil wasn't hot enough for frying yet. It hadn't gotten up to 350 when you put the twinkie in, so it soaked up more oil then it should have. That's why you got the oil coating in your mouth. If it was at the right temp, it would have bubbled like mad. Also, to dust has two meanings here. First one, roll the twinkie in the flour then gently tap it off to get excess flour off before putting batter on. For the second 'dusting', put the powdered sugar in a sifter or a mesh strainer, then tap it over the item so it drops out like snowfall. There you go.

While watching this video, I decided to try the Twinkie Weiner Sandwich myself (I’m somewhat of a masochist), but I didn’t have any Hot Dogs or Easy Cheese, but I had plenty of string cheese and Crystal Pepsi, so I made what I like to call the “Crystal String Twinkie”. How to make a Crystal String Twinkie: Required: Twinkie (Obviously), String cheese, and Crystal Pepsi (Normal Pepsi could probably be used, since they taste about the same) Step 1- Cut the bottom of a Twinkie Step 2- Put a single thing of string cheese in the Twinkie Step 3- Pour a cup of Crystal Pepsi, which is used for dipping. As you can see, it’s basically the same thing as a Twinkie Wiener Sandwich, but the Hot Dog was replaced by string cheese, the Milk was replaced by Crystal Pepsi, and the easy cheese was removed entirely. If you’re wondering, yes, it’s horrible. It might be the worst idea I ever had, and the worst Twinkie recipe if all time.

This episode was DELIGHTFUL Ian!!! (I mean, just as long as we never talk about Twinkie Wiener Sandwiches EVER again) Edits/jokes were hilarious, the recipes looked fun, and I think you've genuinely changed my opinion on deep fried Twinkies. I mean I've never thought they'd ever be appetizing because the thought of sugary, cream filled, snack cakes and hot oil sounds really....gross to me? But seeing how it ended up looking like a powdered, cream filled donut, made it look a lot more appetizing?? I'll probably give it a try when I get the chance. (The grasshopper milkshake absolutely worth trying also btw.) Random sidenote: This probably sounds weird to notice but I also really love how you ask a question about something when filming and then you decide to go ahead and look up the answer later and include that in the video. I don’t know about anyone else here, but I feel like I’ve grown up with Ian. Been watching since the LEGO Island 2 review and have been watching since. I’ve grown out of other KZbinrs like PBG, Angry Joe, AVGN (not specifically Cinemassacre), Game Grumps, ProJared, etc. but I feel like Ian has grown with me, with him changing the way his channel is going, and me just growing up, I was 13 or 14 in the 7th grade when I started watching, I’m 18 now just graduated high school and going off to college, I just finished the video and thought to myself “man I’ve grown up with this dude” I don’t really post long ass comments, but I thought this time I should.
