Another bulking mistake is never doing cardio because you'll "lose gains"
@SILVER-zf2hu5 жыл бұрын
uh cardio is still important. It should just be minimised. about an hour or 2 per week should be fine.

Whether i do cardio or not is not significant for me, which is nice
@davecullins16064 жыл бұрын
@Calamity The lifting in itself will contribute to that. Cardio is unnecessary compared to that.
@davecullins16064 жыл бұрын
@Calamity Doesn't really inhibit me from getting gains, it just slows me down a bit since that extra respiratory function achieved from running regularly and progressively could likely help me get in some more reps. That being said, it doesn't make it obligatory to run, it just makes it an activity that can give you an optional positive buff towards obtaining your fitness goals.

Omg I spent years in the no zone. Cutting for a month, bulking for a few weeks, and obviously not progressing like I should have. Between that, lack of consistency, and going crazy with food, I looked like crap for years. Now I've been consistent for almost two years, stick to my goals as planned, and I couldn't be happier with the progress I've been making.

Yes people should still be using the "cheat meal" method when bulking, not just when cutting. You'll gain more muscle if you eat quality calories when bulking, which means eating brown rice instead of french fries, eating a turkey sandwich instead of chicken nuggets, etc.

Don't be confused with the "no-zone". It's common misconception that people feel the need to do one extreme or the other. When done improperlely, this leads to a massive waste of time. You do not need to do that. Once you are at a the BF% of your desire. You can eat maintenance and go into a lean mass body recomposition. Stay lean year round and slowly increase macros by 300-800 cals while maintaining BF levels and gain strength and size.

Is it possible to just work your way up without having to swing like a pendulum between bulking and cutting? Why is it bad to just eat healthy with plenty of natural proteins?
@tommyguglielmo11947 жыл бұрын
Animated ASMR that's essentially what bulking is. it's just a surplus. whether it's a 100 calorie surplus, or 700 calorie surplus, u will gain muscle mass. it's hard to track everything, measure ur lean mass, and make a SLIGHT bulk plan. that would be perfect, slow bulks are great
@Jim-so3zm6 жыл бұрын
Animated ASMR That's what I do. I really don't see the point of going between gorging yourself and starving yourself every few months. So long as you have a calorie surplus made up of mostly healthy foods you're fine.

Hey great video, but have quick question I have my macro and I'm currently trying to clean bulk, sometimes I find myself having to go over my carb macro to hit my daily cal needs! I want to put on 6kg of mass to get me to 105kg then cut body fat down again to 15% Sort goal is 100kg and 15% bfmi 402g protein 179g carbs 139g fat carbs are low as I no if I eat carbs I just get fat lol Should I lower the protein and up the other two as I can find it had to hit the protein 45%

I've never really been on a strict cut or bulk before, but there have been times where I've eaten more or less and gone down or up in weight. I've noticed as I go on that if I make the most of my "bulking" phases and get a lot of strength gains before I try to cut down on my weight that even if I lose strength while cutting I can still get back to where I was and even beyond that fairly quickly when I start bulking again. I've just started back on bulking after a long time of slacking on my diet and eating less than I should, and I'm already stronger than I've ever been after just a few weeks. I think the real key is to find the right cycle for you. Don't be afraid to just experiment, it's the best method of improving. I doubt you'll ever lose all of your gains as long as you aren't literally starving yourself to death.

From experience I've always found that a bulking diet doesn't really affect how much muscle you grow it only really affects how much glycogen you add and therefore intramuscular water. If you cut yourself or tear a muscle and you're on a 500 calorie deficit you're body will still heal itself and this is also true of micro tears which is a pretty minor injury compared to a tear. Muscle fibre will recover and grow during a cut but you won't know about it it because you will be so flat from the low glycogen levels during a cut. I have often gone back onto a maintenance diet after a cut and felt larger than ever within days because there was more muscle to fill with glycogen by the end of my cut.

What if you’re skinny fat though, still bulk or cut? I used to be fat, and I did enough gym and practice(mma classes) to lose weight and see a 4 pack :) but I still have some saggy skin on my lower pecs, and moderate to slight love handles that I wanna lose. My friend who’s becoming a pt said if I bulk it’ll help the loose skin and help pick up the love handles but I’m still unsure.
