Blade is decent - I have enjoyed doing the ladder style training, dropped my body fat to 6.1 percent using circuits, I like the music on the channel and the structure of the videos. I am a trainer and I know these are legitimate workouts for fat loss, less rest and constant movement are the key.

You shouldn't be locking out your elbows for these, you can keep your arms slightly bent and you need to focus on simply pulling your elbows back, not pressing your hands down. That should help you get better activation in your lats rather than your triceps.

Great content. But I'd like to mention one thing: This room is gifted with big windows and a great light source. But your camera is fighting AGAINST it. This is a very basic lighting principle; you can find tons of tutorials on that topic on KZbin.

Completed all three of these Built With Bands workouts last week! Loved them and am planning to continue with them for the next 8-10 weeks. I had a question around frequency - I was thinking of doing a BWB workout Monday, Tuesday, Friday, with some cardio on the days between. Is that frequency enough to build mucle? Or shoud I look to be completing all three workouts twice each week?

3 times a week is definitely enough to build muscle, as long as you're eating enough to support muscle growth and working towards progressive overload (increasing resistance/training intensity) week by week, you can see some great results with that, but feel free to experiment and find which frequency works best for you and your lifestyle. Sustainability and consistency are key.

Exercise 4 is a bent rear delt fly, you can simply stand on the band and perform them that way if you don't have something to wrap the band around. You could also do face pulls as an alternate exercise.

Hey Ken, glad you found the channel and are enjoying the workouts and content. You can definitely build muscle with bands as long as you're training with sufficient intensity, achieving progressive overload and eating enough to support muscle growth. It's not necessary to train to failure every set with bands, but you should be pushing close to failure. For final sets of isolation exercises you can go to complete failure. Hope that helps answer your questions. Keep training hard!

A cable row will work as an alternative, but you want to make sure you're targeting the lats the best you can, if you don't have something high enough to perform lat pull downs standing, you can simply perform them kneeling or seated.

You should do each workout 1 time per week, especially if you're newer to working out. If you are more experienced You could perform the workouts twice in a week. Doing 3 days of workouts then taking 1 day rest and repeat.

You can use resistance bands for core training as well, such as kneeling banded crunches, banded mountain climbers, banded sit ups, etc.

Here’s the thing. kzbin.infoUgkxS7ex6L4sMqpaTn4LnBPyBmRQsSingL8y These are not meant to be stretched to 12ft or 14ft or whatever else where you’re a 6ft person, stepping in the band and trying to do standing shoulder presses. If they tear, (assuming they’re not defective) then you’re trying to stretch them way too far. For a full body stretch, bands should be like three feet long, doubled over. Don’t buy the bad press. A fully extended reverse fly is avoid as far as you should stretch these. If it’s too easy, use more than one band at a time.Not rocket science.

@@BlueStarNutraceuticals well because most of the time when people use bands they are using them incorrectly. They don't load the band at the beginning of the rep causing it to have slack, they don't take advantage of the linear variable resistance. Also, its hard to gauge progress in progressive overload because today you may use a 30lb band, stand 3 feet from the anchor position and do 12 reps then in 2 days use the same band doing the same exercise but stand 2 feet 9 inches away from the anchor do 15 reps and think you increased in strength which is not the case because you had less resistance than what you had the time prior. third, using your feet as an anchor is not beneficial because the heavier the band then the easier it is for the outsides of your feet to come off the ground when your standing on it doing curls, or squats. And simply if they were so great for you to gain muscle then bodybuilders wouldn't waste their time and destroy their bodies using free weights.

Thank you for sharing. You make a number of valid points! However, they will still have a purpose for those on the go, limited room, rehabilitation, injury prevention and a few more points but - if you're going to use them - use them correctly. As for packing on muscle - stick to the iron. :)
