How about a demo of the Crown Jewel with the new Blend Board mod, but for bass guitar tones, using different basses, such as a P, a J, something with modern actives, and a Ric, (for those glorious Geddy/Squire tones), and perhaps a bass head to head with competitive units such as the Darkglass Vintage Ultra?

what's this blend board U speak of?
@Kreln12212 жыл бұрын
@@boimesa8190 It's a mod they later added that lets you blend the dry clean signal with the distorted signal. They add an extra knob that sticks out the right side of the pedal.

@@Kreln1221 sick! Is there also a bias mod possible on top of that?

@@boimesa8190 For both the main board and the blend mod board, as well as the many add on boards, you can get PDFs of both the schematics and layouts of everything on the B.Y.O.C. website... Unfortunately, they haven't been making some the circuit boards for a while, so you may be forced to resort to the used market for some of them... I got a pre-built unit with the blend mod a few years ago, and at the time, I chose the ubiquitous Tubescreamer module with mine, and like a dummy, I didn't order any others..., and they weren't even that pricey... Now I can't seem to find any other ones, and I really wish I would have got the Treble Booster, like Iommi, May, Tipton & Downing, and a ton of other greats used to use..., and one of the clean boosters would have been great too..., but alas..., only the TS9 circuit... But set right, with tasteful moderation..., it really works well with basses... I really only use three pedals with em', 1st, a MarkBass Compressore, (a phenomenally great tube compressor), 2nd, an old brown BOSS CE-2B Bass Chorus, (for the occasionally needed soft swirly texture), and 3rd, the Crown Jewel, (used for its semi-parametric EQ, and blending in various blends of clean and grit n' gristle...)

I am very new to guitar playing and a mechanical engineer and not that good with electronics. However I know I can do it, if I can find help. I am going for the 50's Rockabilly sound. Is there a Bassman Boost module that I can add to this? I don't see a video for the Dry Blend Board add on. Will that help a Rockabilly sound?

We don't have any modules that mimic specific amps. I'm not aware of any trends using dry blend to achieve a rockabilly sound.
