@@thomasnew8606 I've driven most of the Tesla's and I would rather have the Lucid. It's my daily driver, my road trip mobile and family hauler. It rides much better than a Tesla, charges faster and has way more storage. With 400+ miles of range, there are always chargers available.

11:32 I would disagree with that. the fact that the Lucid Uses a 6-pole motor when almost everyone else in the industry uses 4-pole is proof of the lucid having better tech all on it's own. And if you don't know what "poles" are in an electric motor.... I don't have a great way to describe it without a visual aid, but the effect is that poles in an EV motor work kind of like stroke length in an ICE motor. The higher the poles the more the engine has lots of low end torque. the higher the pole count, the more the motor likes to rev. relatively speaking of course.

Lucid makes a good sedan. Might be big money (although not that big given the price of new cars), but at that price and power it offers far more than an E class and makes stretching for an S class look like a bad move.

Definitely LUCID! Base price of the sedan you tested is 69,900. BTW, Lucid has way better technology than Tesla. It's also stratospherically better made. Also, the Lucid is American designed and manufactured.

I love Lucid and my Air GT has twice the power of the Pure so I was genuinely surprised by the outcome. That Pure is now Lucid's best selling model and I can see why. People say the RWD is big fun to drive on twisty roads. I hope to give that a try sometime. My GT rips in the canyons but AWD won't really let the tail hang out in "high drama" mode.

Here’s a thought. The horsepower difference between the two cars may be greater than you would think at a glance in favor of the Lucid. When you consider how horsepower is measured, it doesn’t account for loss thru the drivetrain. So the Mustang’s rating would be lower at the wheel, whereas I’m assuming the Lucid would be closer to their rated horsepower at the wheel since it is pretty much direct drive and probably very little loss. So add the instant torque and you you have some pretty good power advantages. What do you think?

A mile above sea level must really kill the Mustang. My 2019 Raptor ran a 13.96 at 100.56 in Delaware with a DA of 1601. That was with my Dragy and I think I let off before the 1/4 because the end of the road was coming up fast. I will try again when we get cooler weather and see if I can get mid 13’s. I almost forgot to add, I have the MPT 93 PRX tune loaded.

Great Video Guys...Really enjoyed it! But when you live in a place where the speed limit on local roads is only 20mph, and 3 lane highways are only 50mph, any expensive car is a waste of money. Gas is $9 a gallon. Anything but the latest vehicles are $16 per day to use due to emission laws 😢 If I was in America...I'd take the Mustang...Such a good looking car!

EV's will always be quick cars. But when you take them to the track, many of their downsides will turn up. (IE, weight. it'll ruin their braking and handling more and more the longer the lap goes because of the weight). But in a straight line, they take it because of the AWD and instant torque.

Brodie, they are faster. Every gas car is faster than its electric counterpart because of how much lighter it is. However due to the EV’s instant torque gets it going off the line more. If the mustang was given for room or a 1/2 mile it’ll gap the lucid.

Also the better aero on the snake woul easily catch up and it’s 10 speed would play a significant role. And on track. Also I was originally referring to the 2019-2023 version of the snake that goes for used at 90k. And it can do everything the new one can except the track part but it’s still close to the new one in track and it will definitely destroy the plaid at track. And mustangs are also known to pull at the 0-100 mark. One it hits its powerband it will reel that Tesla in like if it was parked.

An american GTR > like if you could get a base4 AWD stang and throw a supercharger on it and have sticky tires and put all the power they want to make down outta the hole. Even with extra weight . GT 500 was haeavy as hell but cant get out of the hole . A base AWD car not meant for track duty , but rather stoplight muurder and 1/4 mile or 1/8 mile racing . people buy friggin heaavy ass brick faced F-150 with 4 WD and go pretty good with justa SC , tires and lowering a bit . The big 3 shyed away from AWD for pony and muscle mostly cuz people wanted V8 and tire smoke. But the Syclone was the gfastest thing out back in the day , and why GM killed it , for having better 0-60 and 1/4 then Vette .
