Can't believe I watched almost 27 minutes of an unstable person playing around with chairs to cross a big pit because they refuse to jump or run in a video game. 10/10 video, inspired me to speedrun BanBan myself.

I am a programmer. A general recipe for these kinds of physics issues: 1: when objects intersect, the game engine attempts to push them apart 2: the objects fail to actually be pushed apart. Most commonly, this is caused because one of the objects is special and cannot be pushed at all -- like a player, a wall, or the lift. 4: the game engine tries too hard to push them apart 5: when the objects are finally able to be pushed apart, they have a high velocity from the game engine trying excessively hard to push them apart. some more specific examples: - A game engine might apply a velocity to objects based on how much they are intersecting. If for some reason objects end up deeply intersecting (which happens readily without safeguards), the object is given an excessively high velocity. - A game engine might apply an acceleration or force to objects when they are intersecting. If something causes the object to fail to actually move, the game engine will keep integrating that acceleration to increase its idea of the object's velocity -- even though the object is in fact staying put. When the object is finally able to move, it moves according to the extreme velocity that the game engine thinks it had.

lol that opila bird jumpscare right after you clicked that button was the only time I got scared of this game. Even though opila bird makes five nights at Freddy’s ultimate custom night screen shaking picture jumpscares look amazing in comparison to how bad opila birds jumpscare is.
