we've all done that though. We think we want the baddest, nastiest, no safety net bucking bronco on the range. Until you realize the extent of it. A time comes when you realize, its a lot, and unless you're willing to put the time and money into becoming a champion level driver, the car will kill you. They're so fast that you get cocky, but cockiness doesn't become skill. And when you're in a car that can't be handled by the average bear, and you get to the point where you are smarter than the average bear, if the car requires an exceptional bear, you're going to plant it into a wall.

I still remember watching Stacey David building the SL-C on GearZ. For those curious... the kit starts at $48,395 a fiberglass body with Aluminum Monocoque chassis. Can buy in stages which is roughly according to the site, $56,535. Basically, $20,000 for body and chassis and there’s a total of 16. You can almost guess why, they almost never get complete. Unless you buy the whole car, paint it, slap in an LS engine, transaxle... etc. You gotta have passion and money to build this thing.
