Always amazing to see the 85cc bikes, I remember back in the day my little yz always kept a huge smile on my face 👏👍

Steve is a proper nice guy, I remember he let my boys have a picture on his bike right before the start of the race at Preston docks. Marshals tried to stop him but he didn’t listen. Class 👍

Me and Steven Clarke went to primary school together, I was riding about a year or two before him, but was at wilden Lane at 10 years old and had a massive accident and stop racing after that go to track days now and then but ste if your reading this.. You deserve all the best after trying over and over again getting faster and faster truly a god now on a bike makes being from dudley Brough proud 👌 being school mates then track buddies

😎and hell yeah,my mate had a rm 80 and I always loved the colour scheme with pink graphics and a purple seat with yellow splodges on,I think the 90s done some cool stuff on bikes.

First ever 2 stroke I ever rode was an 85 and I never looked back ❤

Real cool video, great riding! All this does is add fuel to the fire for me and wanting an 85 for a 2nd bike. Not that I would look like this 😂.

Same here as for Shawn, I´m always passed by these screaming 85cc when I´m on the track with my 450. Depressing 😄

At age 10, I had only just learnt to ride a bike. I was thrown on a 1976 RM80B ,drum brakes ,twin shock rear, wobbly front forks with built-in tankslap, and couldn't ride it for sh#t ,crazy powerband was either flat out or nothing !!

Love my 85 but shifting is tricky when I wear full size Moto boots... also the clutch hates me after a good couple hours of ripping from all the pump n dump out of corners

Turns out it actually does matter how much you spend on the bike a factory team like star Yamaha has so much more staff and time and r&d money that they can throw at a problem maybe their front end is sliding or pushing to much in a corner or maybe they wanna get off the line faster yes there are things you can do as the rider but your bike when every drop has been wrung out of the lemon as possible because theyve developed the bike to the nth degree someone with a bike that theyve bought and maybe had the suspension valved or heck even went and bought some good stuff and put a header pipe and silence on and went and tested and tuned the bike youre gonna be way off the mark even if you are close to the caliber rider on the factory bike because you probably have a job and all the other stuff as well the big advantage factory teams have is time and the staff money too but mainly the first two

85s ain't no joke but shaun didn't look to at home on a 450 maybe he would of been closer in the mighty slam mx250 😂

Tm racing made them in the 80s or 90s 85s with full sized frame wheels and shocks I don't see the point 125 is better

To be real that is a flat, groomed dry track on a flat field. Put an 85 on a full-on mxgp track like Loket and it wouldn't even get up the hills.
