Fun chemistry fact. The reason Drain-O makes your hands slippery is because they are turning the fats in your hands into soap, like literal soap. Like the origins of "Lye soap"

Try some oil they use for food like vegetable oil or canola oil because it is used for frying food so it should work in a hot engine

It should've run longer than that, even if it had no oil at all. Probably flooded from tipping over to drain the oil out, because the new mowers don't have drain plugs, because they are "disposable".

Reason why the lawnmower wouldn't start is the drano started reacting with the aluminum in the engine creating highly combustible gasses that were choking out the carburetor with the wrong air fuel mixture. If you left the drano in the engine it would probably get really hot and possibly explode from the gases.

That engine has a low oil kill sensor, after the Drano foamed up the sensor did not detect any thing and prevented the engine from running

Also with my experience of being broke sometimes and buying hypertough sockets and other tools in the past I can assure you everything they make is probably junk. I literally snapped one of their sockets trying to loosen a bolt one time. I've never seen anything like it.

Lol yeah I had to recently buy a little 1 gallon can because I ran over the one I have had since the 90s and didn't think about what I was grabbing and it ended up being some stupid thing I would have had to hold a sliding thing in to get gas to flow... I ended up grabbing the old nozzle off the old tank and drilling a little hole in the top rear of the new tank and attached a little plug to allow air and keep it from spilling.
