We call fbis dish PLASAS in The Gambia. It’s so delicious I just. Cooked mine last weekend! That oxtail will contribute to the thickness of the stew. I use palm oil and I also add cow feet, smoked fish and smoked Turkey! You can also use sweet potato leaves to cook it and it’s so so delicious 🥰 well done mama

Love love love this recipe, Nanaaba, my lazy version is to put it all in a slowcooker and let it cook on low all night long and then wake up in the morning to add the peanut and palm oil and leave it for another hour and it is done. I also add a bag of spinach in it ( you can't tell in taste). I then let it cool and portion them and freeze so I have enough for a couple of weeks. I learned this when I was going to give birth at first and would get cravings for it but ain't no way I had time to stand by the stove for long lol.

Awww. I love this stew. We also eat this in Guinea Cky, we use the same ingredients but we prepare it differently. the outcome look similar. Quiet a rich stew with the peanut butter and the oil, But soo delicious. Thanks for your recipe 🥰🥰

I'm from the Caribbean living in the USA and I had it for the first time today with pounded yam. It was good. It tasted like eddo leaves.

So similar in appearance to our Nigerian Aphang soup, but definitely different ingredients and prep method. Looks so delicious, never even thought I could use cassava leaves for soup. Sure Chop time gang gather here oh😃
