Its because of 2 things, 1) cats dont have fully attached collar bones (detached collarbones), and flexible hips, the only part of their body they cant manipulate is their skull, thats why their head is the determining factor for if it can get into a spot

Plus, Pitof’s “trademark” was that he filmed his movies exclusively with then-expensive digital cameras. All in all, at least half of the budget up in smoke even before anything is on set.

Fun fact: this movie has LITERALLY nothing to do with DC comics! The weird frenchie wanted to use Selena but DC took one look at the dumpster fire of a script and said "ah hell nah". YouWantMyPancake - Make no mistake, Batman Returns is a masterpiece; I love it, possibly the most Tim Burton Tim Burton there is when he was at the top of his game. Terrible Batman movie; brilliant Tim Burton movie. Selina played by the most iconic actor; gets her power from random alley cats and hatred of the patriarchy. Penguin is a literal mutant who has a clown posse and weaponized missile-launcher penguins. And then there’s just Christopher Walken, himself qualifying as a villain without needing any modifying features. The movie’s off the friggin’ chain.

The whole "the webs just come out of his arms" thing... honestly the reason I don't mind it and actually like it is that it makes more sense to me than the canon explanation. He sure always uses them in ways in the comics that feel like it would only be possible if it was some kind of mutant super-silk that his own body made tons of easily... all of it is a lot sillier if this one part of his basic set of powers is actually just something he macgyver'ed together somehow, despite it being a basic function of spiders that easily could have been part of the mutation. And Raimi knew all that, and made the decision consciously, probably for similar reasons. It isn't like it affects his character in any way, like a lot of the stuff in the DC movies have been real betrayals of the character... I really don't see why anyone should care, yet you act like it's the most egregious offense ever.

The reason i liked this movies was the overrall "magical/etereal" feel it have,where the cringe parts give a kind of aftertaste. They are cringy,yeah,for that specific reason it feels weird and disconnected,and it helps to convey that she is infact possess by a nonhuman entity. I once read a junior novelization of this movie and there were some info about this movie. One is that Halle liked one of cats that starred in the movie and kept it. The cat's name is Playdough. Second, is that Catwoman's "diamond" claws are not real diamonds but is still very expensive. The book actually gave a specific number but I cannot remember the price. Its been like 12 years give me break. The claws definitely could have taken a large portion of the expense
