Just a reminder, this woman won an Oscar.. and fully deserved it.

It's actually a piss take of the documentaries on Channel Five, who seem to specialise on showing disabled people, thinly disguised as a documentary...but more often watched by people who just want to take the mickey out of disabled people...so i think it's a valid scetch
@Servoboy2 жыл бұрын
yep , totally agree . the greatest show on earth mentality brought up to date disguised as educating documentaries .

Can we rebrand this sketch as "The Boy with an Arse for a Face (Starring Oscar-winning actress Olivia Colman)"?
@Pravoizavlijesvijeta9 жыл бұрын
so this means, that somewhere in Great Britain there is a kid and probably several other kids who auditoned to play an arsefaced kid to be on television. he sure can be lucky he has such great parents.

and the best part is none of his mates will ever know who he actually is.

@@SatanStan Iunno he's got tiny hands.. his limbs look pretty proportional. I'd say either a real kid or a perma-kid with kidney problems like Andy Milonakis.

I love the sheer contempt in Mitchell's voice, really elevates the sketch.

Hands down the funniest of their sketches. It perfectly spoofs the mock sympathy of those awful programmes. They even got the channel right, with 5.

Yeah, Kenny put his coat on upside down for class photos with his ass in his hood and cartman had the photo put on a milk carton and two assfaced parents thought he was their lost child, but it turned out Ben Affleck was their long lost son.

Continuing the sensitive freakshow series, we'll be telling the uplifting story of one boy's extraordinary bravery. As if that's what you're interested in, rather than the fact he's got an arse for a face

The graphic novel Preacher did it before South Park. But it's pretty silly to act like an extended joke based on an expression as common as "assface" or "butthead" can't be reused.

@HerrNose Do you think noone had ever thought of the concept before? I've seen the south park episode you're referring to, and this sketch's resemblance to it is only superficial. This is taking the piss out of Television shows that exploit people with disabilities. or in their own words 'follow the trials and tribulations of one twelve year old's struggle to lead a normal life while also getting to have a good old stare at the freak in a way you can tell yourself it's sort of ok.' Right?

@primateboogaloo Arseface from Preacher came in 1997. I'm going to assume it was a moral about the unintended side effects of attempted suicide, but it was just as likely for the shock effect.

Yes but unlike south park the joke here isn't the fact that the kid has an arse for a face, it's spoofing those channel 5 glorifed freak show documenteries.

@deafweasel9911 жыл бұрын
umm yeah but South Park's joke was about a prank gone wrong when it turns out the people they were ridiculing actually existed, the M&W was more a satire of all the "freak show" documentaries that plagued british television not so long ago
